Mt. Dora?

has anyone taken a day trip to mt. dora and eaten there? if so, is it a worthwhile "break from the parks" with a good place to eat?

I think it's a very pleasant, real, small town. I'd be tempted to suggest you put Winter Park higher on the list, but Mt. Dora is well worth the trip.

Oh I was just going to come and say that Winter Park is better known for dining, but of course the "local" beat me to it!

My mom and dad love Mt. Dora, they go more for the shopping. Especially antiques, and country type furniture.
