MSEP Fast Pass, stay for Wishes? Get additional fast passes concurrently?

We are coming to WDW in June. Not our first time. But my kids have not actually sat and watched the Main Street Electrical Parade. So, we have wishes dessert party reservations for 9pm. Wishes, that day is at 10. We will be at the dessert party during the parade. I know that you can sort of see the parade from the dessert party (I think you can), but not completely. Now I'm thinking that maybe I want to give up my dessert party reservation and take the fast pass plus for the viewing area for MSEP (I know I might not get one so I won't cancel dessert until I get the fast pass). I think I'm talking in circles here. But if I get the MSEP fast pass, does that mean I can't get another fast pass that day until after the parade? And can I stay in the MSEP fast pass viewing area to watch Wishes?

The MSEP FP location is a poor location for viewing Wishes in my opinion.
