ms told me last week than southwest is not today ms told me it is

last week ms told me I can use magical express flying southwest airlines, but they will not check bags all they way through. They said for non participating airlines you give your bag claim stubs to the person in the blue suit with a mickey hand sign that reads magical express and they will claim and transport you and your bags and escort you to a welcome area to wait for your shuttle. They said the special tags for check through would not need to be sent because southwest was not participating in the baggage check through. Today I called to give my flight infomation to ms for the shuttle and she said southwest HAS been participating with the special tags "for a long time now". She said she will put in the request for the luggage tags, but we may not receive them before we go. Oh well, it is great anyway. But many times I have had ms give me different answers.

All the airlines can be used on the inbound flight, the luggage will be sent to the resort. The difference comes on the flight home, only the participating airlines will accept luggage at the resort. Others must take their luggage out to the bus and check-in at the airport.

It's a shame the MS regularly dispenses misinformation about Magical Express.

I was told the same thing by 2 different CM's at 407-WDisney too for our stay at the CBR in June. 1 told me we could do it with Southwest and the bag claim tags would be on their way, the other told me there was no way we could do it with Southwest at all. I wish they would get a uniformed answer! We are 5 weeks away and I still don' know the answer. I'd love to use the ME, but I think we might rent a car this time until all the bugs are worked out.

go with ME.

just assume that SW won't be using the ME for your luggage going back - believe me when you check for the ME counter in the lobby at your DVC home for your departure - you will told if SW is using it.

otherwise you just leave your luggage with Bell services and get it before your ME bus comes.

You can still ride the ME bus to and from the airport.

the difference is if your airline is not participating then you need to check in your luggage at MCO. that is all!!!

It is still a great deal - and I am pretty sure with the ME buses coming 2 hour and 45 minutes before the planes depart - then you will still have time to check in with your luggage.

besides just think of all the DVC members and guest you will get to meet!!!!
