We have been to the Fort 5 times since 2000 but, with no children we just never went to the campfire program. We didn't know. Our first trip we stayed in the 600 loop and I noticed a lot of people carying lawn chairs and stuff, heading that way before dark. I think now I know what the big draw was. Sad we missed her!

Still trying to be the favorite i see. Suck up! As for loose lips, I talked to her last week and she said I could mention it. She really did not go too far into detail about why she left. I, like everyone else here, believes that she is not quite done with the fort either. She does lurk so she will see what everyone is saying (even the suck up ). We all know I am her favorite.

With a heart as big as hers, theres room for all of us.

Yea, I agree, I'm sure she'll be back. While I think Saratoga Springs is a beautiful resort, it's not the Fort!

I heard just fairly recently that she had left....Im pretty disappointed because I HAVE NEVER MET HER, and after all the praise and good words Ive heard about her...I was anxious to have my 2 youngest see her at the singalong for our trip this month...ok, maybe I was excited about meeting the living legend as well!!! Ms Sundee, please hurry back if its in your interest....I have a feeling the Forts atmosphere will suffer in your absence. And again...this is one more thing I may never get to experience about the Forts history....Trains, River Country, Peacocks, and now Ms Sundee....:sad1:

When she took our golf cart ressie a couple of months ago she said something about starting a new assignment. I guess we'll miss her this October at the Fort, but will see her in February when we stay at SSR on our DVC points. Maybe by October, she'll come to her senses, and come back to the Fort.

This is the kind of debauchery that has given FW campers a bad name. I try to maintain an air of decorum, but it is getting harder and harder with you guys. Who Likes Beer?

The TCD gang loves Ms. Sundee!

Well, most of us do anyway. The first time we met Ms. Sundee was many years ago when the DD's were quite young. Mrs. TCD and I had a system for the smores at the campfire. She would go roast the marshmallows, and I would get everything else ready back at the blanket. The kids were too small to go to the fire. They would devour the smores, and Mrs. TCD would go back with more marshmallows. I was not allowed to do the roasting, because I make the marshmallows well done.

Well, on this one evening, Ms. Sundee was tending the fires, and was kind of abrupt with the folks sitting around the fire- including Mrs. TCD. Ms. Sundee was a new castmember back then, and Mrs. TCD was taken aback. Back in the day, the campfire area was Ms. Sundee's turf. We would always see her raking, building the fires, etc. Heck, the kids thought she lived in that little building that they play the movies from with Chip and Dale.

Aside from the little misunderstanding at our first meeting, it has been all good. Ms. Sundee is really quite a character.

A Ms. Sundee sighting was required on every trip to the Fort.

We saw her this past February (2008).

But not on the two more recent trips.

We miss you, Ms. Sundee!

Wow, I am glad I saw this post I had no clue.....though I think she did mention something to me in Feb about being ready, but I had no clue she meant she'd be gone before I got back to see her this month! Didn't I just tell her I finally got a camper again and was looking forward to seeing her at FW everytime I go. <BG> Oh well, if she's at Saratoga I'll try and track her down there. I am not a big fan of the eating place at that resort, but I still love the spa, so maybe I talk DH into a treatment as an excuse to hop over there and see her.

Well, I see you are all off again talking about this "Miss Sundee" person. Sometimes I just read and wonder but this time I must show my hand. I have always stopped spats between Big Disney Daddy and Mrs. Gus but this time I have so much more to say. First, I guess, I must confess who I am. I am Miss Sundee. Yes, it's true. I have to do this because I need to thank you all for the kind words and heartfelt thanks. I had a ball at Ft. Wilderness and I love you all very much. My move was completly selfish. I needed to go when I thought my show was going stale before you all figured it out. I must tell you I am very happy at Saratoga Springs and, sadly for all you "betting types", don't really plan on going back to the Fort. You all are welcome to come and see me at Community Hall and even do some fun activities. I do hope to see you all. For those of you who have fed me -- I can still come and have dinner on Sundays or Mondays. Take care my wonderful friends and always remember --- THE MOUSE RULES!!! See ya real soon!

Wow.......the legend has spoken. I feel privledged to be the first to respond. I WILL come to see your show at Community Hall....and, I know how it is to feel your show is going stale all to well. I can certainly understand your decision, though I really wish I could have seen the show before it ended.
