In case anyone else is trying to speak with Member Services this morning, I have been on hold with them for about 15 minutes on and off and now I was just told that they are having system problems and to try back in 30 minutes or later. I also have to start everything I was booking over again from the start because the problem they are having does not allow them to confirm. Just an FYI if anyone else is having a problem.:thumbsup2

That's a shame. :sad2:

I emailed them yesterday asking for points quotes for a DCL cruise in 2010. I got a reply fairly quickly, but they requested that I call today with my member number and credit card number so they could process the fees! :confused3

I didn't realise we had to pay to receive information/quotes! :rolleyes1

After calling back, I was able to complete my transaction and they said all was fixed:thumbsup2

That's good to hear. :thumbsup2 Glad you got what you wanted. :)

Now I just have to build up the "courage" to spend 30 minutes or so on hold from the UK to get an idea how much points a cruise would set me back. :scared:

There are no "quotes" for DCL on points. You can have MS check the point chart for you to give you an idea of the different categories and the number of points required. However, if MS goes ahead and calls DCL to get availability and reserve for you, well that is a reservation. You need to be careful of this as it obviously will affect your point balances, and turns them into Reservation Points once booked. The credit card is required to pay the $95 fee due at booking with MS for the cruise.

All I asked MS for was an idea of points required for certain catergories of stateroom. ;)

At no time did I mention that I wanted to book, since I have no idea what the points required are!

I also realise what the $95 fee is for, and would gladly pay it IF we decide to book. Why the person who replied to me from MS advised me to call them with my credit card details just for an inquiry is totally beyond me! :confused3
