MS closed for training??

Member website is off-line as well ... perhaps there is an update coming to the website?

I don't understand why MS would close for training. I work as a trainer for a large company and we routinely have to offer multiple sessions so that everyone is not away from their desk at once.

Maybe the new dining system for booking reservations?

It keeps popping up when I book online and it I love it!!

I think it is intentionally staged to increase the speculations here on the boards. It is "all about the show" (drama). ;)

For your company, and for mine, the world simply doesn't care. (Please read as tongue-in-cheek.)

maybe reinforcing the customer service attitudes they are supposed to have at all times??:confused3

OK sorry for that one. I have been around my DH too much and his business partner today and they are total smart alecks!:lmao: Just trying to have a little fun after a stressful day today.

Seriously, i really never have had a bad MS experience but i know that several people have so that is the only reason i put that. But it could really be a morale class ( Every body does some good with that), Hopefully, some online boooking and availabiltity, love the hawaii idea. Would love to see more interactive website like the regular disney site. I can only dream right?

Those two things happening together usually means an "upgrade" (and I say that lightly) to the computer systems.

I just logged onto the MS website without any problems. I haven't tried to call MS but was curious to see if anyone called MS after 3:00 PM? Could you get through?

I'm pretty sure it's the Dining system - it's been down periodically for the past 4 days, and now the new system has been showing up periodically for some already as reported on the Dining Reservations board.

Hopefully, they get enough training on it, Tiger

It's the new MS billing policy. ;)

One free phone call per reservation, $10 per call above that.

A new MacBook must be coming out. Oh wait - wrong company.

(I always giggle when my Apple fanboy friends get all excited when the Apple site is taken down. :))

Really? It isn't working for me ... and I've cleared my browser cache several times today between tries. My attempt to hit dvcmembers.com redirects to:
https://dvc.disney.go.com/dvc/register/guestLogin?id=GuestLoginPage&appRedirect=/dvc/ said:
We're sorry.

The page you are trying to access is currently not available.

I wonder if this is related to my logging into the ABC site last night to vote for DWTS?

Okay I'll admit I'm crabby today but my guess is:

System crash an IT did not want to sound like they are (behind the times)

They're learning 100 new ways to make the website unworkable and how to explain the new $50 fee for a phone call from a member asking why the website is unworkable.

Also, for those having trouble logging into the website, I tried something that surprisingly worked. I went on and logged in and it would not go to the lead member site page. I left that one as is and opened a new "tab" on explorer for a new webpage and went to the site and when I clicked on member login it took me right to the first DVC member page skipping the login.

Thinking about that and how disney does things....it just astonishes me that they do changes to "live" sites. The company I used to work for had the website customers saw, and a behind the scenes site that they did the work/updates on...it was a few days ahead of time, so they had the bugs worked out, and when the proper date showed up, it just was live with no issues.

I didn't know they were so different from other websites...but I guess they are!

Hmm ... I kept trying with Safari throughout the day on the same computer I always use for accessing the members site. While I had the opportunity to try three different networks - it was always from same computer and browser.

Once I got home I tried using Firefox from same computer ... and got right in. FWIW, the site behaves differently (new-to-me javascript "pop up" ads and thankfully no audio on the homepage) but these could have simply been due to browser differences/settings. Safari is still failing.

I still got the audio using FF.

When I called earlier this week, they had a message saying they were closing at 2 or something and that they'd reopen today at 9! No idea why though!:confused3
