I made my first call to (what I thought) was MS. After booking my ressie for my NEW HOME, VWL, I asked about park tix and the CM said "we don't sell those".
?? What good is MS if they can't do that? Or did I call a wrong number?

DVC is not WDW, so you need to get park tickets through WDW. The best, easiest way is to pull it up on Disney's web site and purchase them there. Don't forget that as a member, you get a HUGE discount on APs! That is THE best DVC perk, in my estimation!

Hmmm.....bummer. I mean, I wanted to make one call and get everything, you know what I mean? I suppose they can't get ADR's either, then, huh? My otherwise wonderful VG misled me a little bit......

MS isn't a concierge service, they exist primarily to book your lodging and help you with various aspects of your DVC ownership.

You can get ADRS from MS, but I find it much easier to do that through the regular dining number. How did your guide mislead you? You can still buy passes through the DVC website.

Hmmm...seems to be some conflicting answers. I guess I'm just spoiled; DU has handled our previous vacation (and was going to handle this one to until we decided to buy in). I SUPPOSE I'll do it myself ;) (sound of Denice putting the back of her hand to her forehead.....) ;)

I have TONS of AP questions, but I'll start a different thread for that......

member Services books your resort reservations, link the dining plan to those ressies (if you want it) and can sell you AP vouchers. They also can make your ADRs, but for anything requirijg pre-payment (like dinner shows, Candlelight, etc) you need to book through the regular dining number.

Hopper type passes can be purchased at your resort or through any number of online resellers, including Disney.com.

Best deal: if you will be making multiple trips to WDW within the next year, buy an AP with the DVC discount. Otherwise, buy MYW tickets from a reputable ticket broker like ticketmania.com. For even better deals, subscribe to mousesavers.com's newsletter -- they occasionally offer ticket discounts.

You can also order tickets right here on the DIS, and some discounts are available.
