Today was check-out day at La Quinta and check-in day at SSR, l was so excited. But when youngest DS woke he wasnt feeling too good, he felt sick and had a temperature. We brought breakfast to the room and packed what we'd got out of the cases and made a slow trip to SSR. When we arrived l went to check in and thankfully an apartment was available, room 3634 in the Springs. The apartment was fantastic, our own kitchen with dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer. A large sofa which would be DS's bed for the next 11 days and then the icing on the cake our own bedroom (bed was 6ft wide!!!) with en suite jacuzzi and bathroom. Now l know l've died and gone to heaven lol So we settle in and then decide we need to go and get some food supplies, after checking out Simons book l find that the nearest Supermarket is at the Crossroads. We head done there and me and eldest DS go shopping while DH stays with youngest DS (who just wants to sleep, bless)in the car. Some $90 later, we've back heading for SSR. 'Welcome home' the man says on the gate, oh l love this place :teeth:

We made some lunch and l put DS to bed after giving him so Calpol, and we just enjoyed the scenery until he woke some 2hrs later. Thankfully he seemed alot better and wanted to go back to Universal, as it was the final Mardi Gras night. We ate dinner at IHOP and then went onto Universal, which was packed! We went on Men in Black AGAIN, and yes youngest DS hit the red button AGAIN and got the bonus, but no gift from DH this time lol. Come 9pm tho youngest DS was flagging again so we decided to head back to SSR.

Sunday 23rd April 2006

Today DS seemed a bit better, but now was full of cold :sad2: He wanted to carry on with the planned day so we headed off to MGM. The park was quite quiet again thankfully, as long queues probably wouldnt of been fun with a 7yr old who has a cold in temperatures of 92!! We went on Star Tours and well if l said we found the ideal ride for our 2 boys it would be a under statement! They loved it BIG time! I think all in all we rode it 5 times and they went on it on their own once as i'd had enough lol They also watched the Jedi Academy but werent picked :sad2: and also Indiana Jones Stunt show. We left the park about 3.30ish for an early dinner and then returned later on to watch Fantasmic (which i love and makes me cry)

Monday 24th April

Enjoyed a Extra Magic hour at Typhoon Lagoon this morning, we meant we could get a prime spot. DS's really enjoyed the water cannons (sorry to the American man who seemed to get the worst of the soaking  ) while we enjoyed some early morning sun. We went on Gangplank Falls twice which was brillant but the water was sooo cold, and the CM liked to splash you lol And also enjoyed the Castaway Creek, lazying on a rubber tyre. By midday the park was filling up and the sun was getting very strong so we decided to head for some lunch and then hire some bikes at SSR to burn the calories off of all that food lol

Your room at SSR sounds lovely Rachel, great report, I love Typhoon Lagoon :thumbsup2

Star Tours 5 Times!! Don't know why but it always makes me queasy :)
