Mr. Potato Head

I've read where people said you can put the parts on any Potato Head body. I had a friend who collects them (and I mean collects! she has about 50 I think) and she said the Disney pieces only fit in the Disney body so she wanted me to get her another body on our trip. Anyone else had problems getting the Disney parts to fit on their potato head?

We used the parts we got at Disney with the body we already had. You do need to get arms at Disney because the ones you buy elsewhere will not work with some of the parts at Disney (example: mickey shaped balloons; popcorn, etc)The standard arms do not hold objects. Maybe that's what your friend was thinking about??

I have 2 regular PHs that I got at Walmart and the Disney parts work just fine. You do however need the arms from Disney if you want Mr PH to hold the Disney parts.

What AUDramaQueen and oogieboogie said ... the potato head bodies at DTD are identical to ones you can buy at Target.

Just be sure to get ARMS at DTD ... in fact get at least two pairs!

I am having a complete brain cramp right now -- can't think of the name! It's the toy store with Buzz and Mr. Potato Head outside. It's across from the big store that sell pins.

I'm sure someone else will come along and tell you the name. Apparently my coffee has not kicked in yet!

At DTD it's Once Upon a Toy store, that's where you would get the most complete selection.

There are also some other places to get them - Everything Pop at Pop Century, 5&10 store at MGM, Toontown Judge's Hall, and a shop in AK (can't recall the name). I think Mousegear at Epcot has them too now.

I usually only get it at DTD because they have all the pieces and it's a good excuse to go to DTD.

We have some store bought Mr. Potato Head and kids and the pieces fit. Some are a little tight when going into the holes but I just figured that was because they are new parts. After a while everything fits nicely and the pieces still stay in when turned upside down.

Okay...I finally get to buy this for my great niece who just recently found how much the ol' Tater Head is...my question is from her momma....

What kind of special parts can you get at WDW? I know I've seen the Mickey ears, Goofy Hats, but I couldn't think of any other parts to tell her. So, can ya'll help me out here? What special Disney parts are there for Mr. Potato Head?

We're going at Christmas, so maybe there will be special Disney Christmas ones?

there is a santa hat, a christmas tree with mickey head ornaments that MPH can hold. Those are part of the fill your own box parts.

there's also a separate bag you can buy that turns MPH into a santa complete with hat, sack, presents, beard, etc. It's $7 if I'm not mistaken.

Minnie Bow, Princess Hat, Minnie Bride Hat, Shoes
Ariel Hair, Ariel feet/fins
Donald Mouth/beak & Sailer Hat

Cinderella Slipper on Pillow
Arms - DO NOT FORGET THESE!!!
Earrings, mouths, eyes, mustache, noses - standard pcs.
Green Hair?, Black Hair, Coon Skin Hat (think davy crockett)
Clear Shoes with red polish painted toes, Purple Shoes , Green Shoes

Darth Vader/Gas Mask??

Without dumping the whole box out these were most if not all the parts we got while there. They all have fit on our standard PH we bought before going to WDW - so fill the box with parts not potatoes you'll fit much more and remember if you are getting shoes/feet/hats to fill the bottoms of these items even if it's with standard items like earrings (which can fit into all the cracks) to get as much as possible !!!

Oh, my goodness! Thank you so very much!!! I can't wait to start picking out the parts...with so many cool ones it just might take me an hour...lol I might even have to get a jump on next years Christmas and birthday gifts for the little ones in the family. Heck, I might even buy a box full for myself...hehe
