Hi Everyone,
I have'nt been to WDW since 2004,but we will be off soon on the 1st April :cool1: .
What i want to know is do they still sell the Mr Potato Heads in DTD-you can fill a box for a set amount of money?.If yes-how much are they now?.
And is it still better to buy a Mr Potato head in Walmart/Walgreens first,so as not to fill your box with the potato-so you have more space in the box?.
Any help+even pics would be much appreciated,i really want to get one of these for our nephew.Thanks.x.

Hi In Down town Disney they still do Mr Potatoes head Boxs and they are $19.99
but for $49.99 you can fill a giant Mr Potatoe Head, DH and I spent 1Hour filling it and by the time we were finished there was no space left inside and he was heavy, it was well worth it though. We gave it to DS 3Yrs and when he opened it he knew all the parts and it will never fit back in Mr potatoe
head properly again, but it was well worth it.
Hope this helps
Geraldine

Michelle, we did one in January, and just filled the box with parts, we bought a Halloween Potato Head for $6 to use while we were away as the kids wanted to play with him straight away. I (and many others) sat on the floor in the shop for over an hour packing up the box and making sure we got everything we could into the box! Great fun and the kids love him!
There is also a my little pony one if you are into that!

If you are buying a potato head make sure you put bits inside the potato as well as in the box, They will quite often come over and tell you that anyway.

Thanks everyone :thumbsup2 .
I thought they would have gone up in price now-so that's a result that there still the same.

Gem,what other ones did they have besides Halloween?.x.

they have lots of star wars ones and indiana jones as well when we went b4 xmas

Oh I didn't look at at the price in walmart, but our Halloween one was $6, which I thought was a bargain. I didn't look what others there were though as DH came back with the halloween one. At US they had Spiderman ones too!

Another tip was to make sure that you put your actually potato in the box horizontally to allow for maximum spare space. The CM's in the shop were very good with telling us tips and helping us to pack too so make sure that you ask them!

Last August you could get them at Animal Kingdom.
Thank you.x.

Thanks Gem,Hubby is looking forward to trying to cram it all in,where as for quickness i would just ask the CM to do it for me if i give them all the bits :thumbsup2 .More time for shopping then :) .x.

we bought a potato head in tesco for £3.99, but we also got a big tub out the disney store that had to large heads and a baby spud in it and it has been great for keeping all the bits in. Just remember to buy a few serts of arms becuase the normal potato head arms dont hold the disney stuff. I asked the lady if i could buy oe piece becuase i just couldnt fit it in the box and she said it would cost $3!! So choose carefully LOL
