Mr Potato Head

At WDW we loved building Mr. Potato Heads. Do they have that at DLR?

Yes they sell the pieces at the The Gag Shop in Toontown and at a toy shop in California Adventures which name escapes me at the moment.

The shop in DCA is Engine Ears Toys. I think they usually have a bigger selection and more stuff. But we've seen a few pieces in Toon Town that the other store didn't have too.

OMGOSH YES! It's in DCA the first store on your right, I don't know the name of it .. but it's most likely the same as these fellow members' have said. I have never gone into that store before, so in June was my first time seeing it. My boyfriend bought me the big $45 Potato Head to fill up with the accessories because I never had one when I was little :) I plan to get more when I go back :goodvibes

Does someone have a checklist of the available parts? I wouldn't want to forget what I have and double buy.

I am loading up on pieces when we are there next month! I love Mr Potatohead.

As a matter of fact, when you guys go back in October (I assume you are going with Axiom and WazowskiLOVER??), check for the Halloween Potato Head accessories. There is a Trick or Treat bag with Mickey ears and something else too, that I am forgetting.

I'm going with my DBF in September, but I'm most definitely thinking of going with the rest of my family in October..first weekend I believe. Do they really have halloween potato head accessories?! OMGOSH, I'm going to go nuts.. I guess I'm going to have to buy another big Potato Head ;)

Wow! Anyone know how many pieces the giant $40 potato head holds, because it is likely a great value based on the prices at laughing place of $4.00 or more per piece!

I can't answer the question directly, since the last time I was at WDW I had the $20 box or whatever it was... I brought home a lot of pieces. The key thing was that I didn't pack a potato... can get one cheap at home. Put the larger things at the bottom as a base, unless you can slip something small in the corners. Just be an engineer when packing the items in.

Love the poncho and the tea cup ride base. I want them both but it appears they were released quite awhile a go.

I have the poncho... we bought that separately. IMO it looks weird, but love how strange it is.

I forgot to mention two things:

1. I didnt purchase the potato; I did that at home. But if you do pick it up there, make sure you stuff the inside of it with parts and stuff parts around it in the box.

2. BUY THE ARMS! Some of the pieces can't fit in the standard arms, so you need the special arms from Disney.

How on Earth did I not know about the special Disney items??? I want to make a Disney Mr.PotatoHead!!! hehe - adds to wish list -

Yep, still a kid at heart!

I love doing this! I've filled a box with parts twice now and I think its a pretty good deal. If you work hard at it, you can get a lot of parts for the price (which is $18 I think). Plus, its fun!
Since I'm a geek, I actually took some pictures of my potato head with various Disney parts. :lmao:
Enjoy!
*Notice the Goofy hat on this one*

*This one has a Mickey ice cream bar with a bite taken out of it! ha ha!*

The $45 Big Potato Head holds quite a lot! I was able to fit majority of the pieces that I wanted.. except for the lil things cause I was such in a rush! Just make sure you pack it in REALLY WELL because since the big pieces can take up so much room but you're able to squeeze it in without the pieces damaging. I seriously think that the $45 one is a STEAL because you can fit SOOO much more in it plus, the eyes, nose, mustache, and mouth can all be taken out as well!
