Is there a place in DtD that sells the Mr. Potatohead parts? Where else do they have them?
Thanks!

Once Upon a Toy in DTD sells the parts. They can also be found at many of the resort gift shops. I seem to remember someplace in MGM having them as well.

When I was ther I saw them at the big Disney store at Down Town Disney, and also the gift store at Pop. The selection of parts was better in the store in Down Town Disney.

In MGM - (??) name of the store (??) Its on the right hand corner as you turn to go down Sunset Blvd. to ToT.

In AK - Chester & Hester's Dinosour Treasures in Dinoland

in addition to the ones listed above, mousegears in epcot and i think there are some also in the close to mickey and minnie's houses in the MK. but the most and best selection we have seen is at the DTD store

They had them at Everything Pop, so I'm guessing they're at every resort gift shop.

They have a really good selection in the gift shop at POP Century! We stayed at ASMO last year and I don't remember seeing anything there.

Mousegears in Epcot and the place in Toontown at MK had them in June as well as My Little Pony. I think it was around $18 to stuff a box.

MK = Judges Tent
EP = Mousegear
DTD = Once Upon a Toy
MGM = forget the name but last store on the right at the corner just before the tips board
AK = Chester & Hesters

Boxes are $18 to fill. Don't bother getting a body. Save room for all the pieces & get a body (cheaper) at home.

Our DS bought his at DTD. He loved gets all the pieces. He got buzz lightyear parts, autograph book, mickey ice cream bars, etc. I loved looking at them too. If you don't have a "body" you can buy one there too - just stuff all of the parts inside to save room and get more for your money. :thumbsup2

Yes, Once upon a toy has a huge variety of Mr.Potato head parts. Theres a big kiosk type hing in the center of the store, youll see it right when you walk in. All around it are little bin boxes filled to the top with parts(disney type parts too). Its really cool.

Go to Walmart and get your Mr. Potato Head body. Then go and get all the parts. You will be amazed at how many parts you can get in one of those boxes with carefull packing. You can put as much as you want in the box as long as you can close the top.

Thanks, all. Actually, last year when we went to DL, I bought my boys Darth Tater and DD the Ms. Potato Head before leaving for the vacation. We only had two days at Disney and then we went to my parent's condo in Palm Springs. I stopped at the shop in DCA and bought parts. The kids had a great time with them for the rest of our trip. They didn't have the best selection, though. And, they'd have some pieces of one character, but not all the pieces(like the hat and arms, but not the face pieces!).
I plan to bring this again, as it was a great option for us.

While we were at Once Upon a Toy, we were told that they had the largest selection of parts.

Also, don't be bashful filling the box, we had arms and legs sticking out of the flaps in the top and had no problems with the CM.

How much is it to fill a box with parts? I was considering buying Potato Heads at home and than filling with parts. I think it would be a great gift for my nieces and nephews. Any parts for Cars? or Toy Story? :smooth:
Hubby has the Star Wars potato head :darth:

Is anyone else addicted to getting new Potato Head parts on each trip like ... uhh ... a good friend of mine? Poor thing just has no self-control!

(Okay, okay, it's me.)

Honestly, I don't want to think how much of my family's resources I've invested in PH parts, but they're so fun!

That's too funny. Actually, I'm the driving force behind the 'parts'. I think the kids could care less! I want to get some and bring them to work (into my Disney themed cube) to have something to play with.

A couple of weeks ago I was at Disneyland and I was checking out the Mr Potato Head parts and accessories. I noticed they had autograph books but rather than saying Disneyland they said Disneyworld on them. I don't like it when the parks do that! Last year at Disneyworld we were looking for a scrap book and found one that said Disneyland.

:rotfl2: I try to make sure I get every new part I can find. I found a store on ebay that had some of the new parts. I made a list so I can make sure I get them all at DTD. I could probably get them cheaper on ebay but it just wouldn't be the same. I get so excited to fill up my box. :laughing: :scared: :hyper:

We filled two boxes on our last trip! I bought the Mr. Potato Heads at Wal Mart ahead of time, and stuffed the boxes to the brim. My favorite parts are all of the "tourist" parts, like the Mickey Bar, autography book, and pin lanyard. My DD2 ripped all of the "pin" stickers off the lanyard though! :rolleyes2

***One word of advice...if you buy any hand held piece, like the Mickey Bar, or balloon, or soda mug, or autograph book, you will need to buy new arms. Regular Mr. Potato Head hands like the ones you buy at WalMart aren't able to hold things. That is why we ended up buying a whole second box of parts, just to get the new arms. The arms they sell at Disney have closed hands, so they can hold stuff.

I also have seen a yellow Mr. Potatohead Mickey Poncho, but was disappointed on our last trip that they didn't have them.

I love my Disney Mr. Potatohead! :love:
