Today was another 6:15 wake up. My family is always exhausted by the end of our trips (which is sadly in sight). But I like to get up early to get things done so.....
We had to meet Mr.Mikes Sister and family for breakfast. We had Cinderellas for 8:10.
If anyone is wondering how we got Cinderellas for Monday (which we skipped because of redrum) and today and crystal palace yesterday at 8:05; I was lucky to have made my PS when they switched from the 60 day rule to the 90. I called for 3 days and she called for 3 days. We each got cinderlla and crytsal palace for the earliest times. I guess many people who dont use the internet that often didnt know. I feel bad that when they called at 60 days and nothing was available. On the other hand each morning we arrived there was a sign saying breakfast available. Also noo one was checking your name. You could have easily just walked in and either got a breakfast or just hung out on main street. Something we are considering for Friday.
Oops Im ahead of myself. We took the monorail over but for some reason it took a long time to get to the poly. As a result as we pulled up we saw everyone walking in already. I didnt see my sister and figured she hadn;t gotten there yet but when we walked up those side paths to the castle our cell phone rang and it was my sister. She was at the entrance but they would not let her in unless we were all there. Like yesterday at the crystal palace we must have been the 5th family to be seated. They had us at 2 different tables because we were 9 people. There was a table in between our tables and I guess they didnt use that table for us because a different waitress was working that table. Speaking of that waitress she was so lively, so friendly and so informative that I wished she was ours. We had a man who was quite, didnt ask us what plate of food we wanted regular or fresh fruit I had forgotten thier was a choice until I heard the other waitress tell her table. The tables were near the windows so I took some nice pictures.
**which by the way I will definately post when we get home. Ive taken over 500 so far with my digital camera,
Todays princesses were Cinderella (dead ringer) Mary Poppins (friendly and proper) Snow White and Belle ( hmm they look a bit different) and Sleeping Beauty ( I dont know what she is supposed to look like so she looked good to me)
After eating we saw Fairy Godmother downstairs greeting people and when we walked out the doors it was time for another first for the Mike family. Ive heard it talked about in the shadows, I know the kind of violence that can arrupt because of it but I had to be a part of it. The famous Rope Drop. We were on the right side since we came out of the castle but when I looked to my left there were so many people lined up. The line went to the front of the castle. Then at 9am two cast members walked over. They took the ropes away and when they removed each section they put thier hands up, as if telling a dog to stay. When all the sections were open they said ok and then yelled Don;t run!
Let me say I walk fast, I dont do it on purpose, but I do. I was blown away! It was almost funny seeing people do the jogging walk You know the one that says Im not runniiinnngggg
Even with what looked like a large amount of people it really wasnt and it was easy to get on all the rides. We did Dumbo first, as my son has never been on it. So all 9 of us went on. Next I told them to ride Peter Pan. The fast pass retuen was 10:10 and it wasnt even 9:10 We walked right on. Next some of us did Mickeys Philharmagic. Just as good as yesterday. There is so much to look at within the animation I could see it every hour. I cant wait for the day when Disney makes a whole movie in this format. The rest of us did Small world. DD wouldnt go on Snow White. I think she is still scared of it. Before we left FantasyLand we met ariel who really looked different and didnt speak in that high pitched voice we have all come to know and love.
Once we hit Adventureland we did Alladins Carpets first and then found that Alladin, Jasmin and Genie were coming out. My daughter dresses inher Jasmin halloween costume so we had to wait for her. She didnt come out for almost an hour. While waiting I watched all the unsuspecting people get hit by the camel spitting water. It was hysterical. So many people had no idea where it was coming from and they would look at other guests thinking it was them. It was after 11:30 now and my sister and her family left. We tried to have lunch at the Crystal Palace but were told they were all booked.
Quickly stopped in a few stores going towards the exit and we met the mayor for another first. He was friendly and talked to a lot of guests
Wwe took the monorail all the way around to the Grand Floridian for lunch in thier café. I really like the grounds of this place. So well kept, so nicely landscaped. Saw a few cast members walking with thier parasols. We were seated right away at the café and our sever was rebecca. She was friendly, informative, funny and fast. It was a very nice lunch that cost us more than our character breakfast. Walked around the grounds after, passing the marina, quiet pool and the newer louder pool. We promised ourselves that we would stay here for some part of our next trip. We wanted to use the walkway to get back to the Poly but it was closed so we headed back inside the cavernous lobby and went up to the monorail.
Back at the Poly everyone went to the pool while I got to rest a bit. I arrived an hour later and jumped into the warm water. The weather was hot and the pool was hot but if I wasnt up to my neck I felt chilled. It was strange
The pool was packed by the way. There were more people here than we saw in July this year.
With the fairytale package and the new fireworks and Philharmagic there were so many people around.
Around 5 we were back in the room and we decided to go to the MK for dinner and then wait for th fireworks. WE got there about 7 and main st was packed with people waiting for Spectromagic. The plaza restaurant and pavillion were each closed already so Mrs.Mike and mom took my son to the Galaxy café while DD and I walked onto Buzz and rode it 5 times in a row.
I did well, actually hitting 940,000. And Sister Marie Diane from first grade was right. It did feel better earning the score rather than the way I got it yesterday.
Once we met up with Mrs.mike again Spectromagic had ended and Buzz got slightly busier. The ride stopped again but before we got on. We waited an extra 5 minutes to get on and when we got out the walkways from the hub to tomorrowland and fantasyland were packed, you could not walk through.
Then I remember on the schedule of times leaflet it stated that for Wishes there were excellent views in differant lands including Tomorrowland. WE picked a table near the raceaway and had a great view. There could not have been more than a hundred people there. It was great.
When it was over we peaked towards Main st and saw a huge mass of people gliding towards the exit. I told everyone we should sit for a while and wait. We did and it didnt help much so DD and I got hot dogs from caseys ( we forgot we didnt eat dinner) and Mrs.mike browsed through the shops. When the masses lessened we hit the monorail. The resort monorail was packed but the TTA express monorail was crazy!! They had the line for it loop back and forth in front of the ticket machines. The ferry was packed also as were the boat launches to the resorts. We got on the line at 9:30, got on the 4th monorail and were at the poly a half-hour later. It is now almost midnight and I want to sleep. Tomorrow should be a brief trip to Animal Kingdom and then maxing out the cards at Downtown Disney. I have to stock up on my mickey iced tea. It really is the best!!! Try it!!!
