Hey Wallyb--- I went to AKL the other day and the staff was awesome in the public areas. I need to start saving up to go deluxe on the next trip.

Do you kennel her? We kennel Stella - and even though we drive an hour and 45 min. to this
"Doggy Dude Ranch" and she's been there befor and loves it...I still get all nerved up when we leave her off.

We had her in "doggy camp" for 9 nights. The staff has low turnover and she gets spoiled with treats. We paid $23 per night plus additional for a bath and pig ear bone. She has not fully forgiven me yet. Jessie slept a lot the past 2 days, but today she wants to play.

We stayed at pop Century, but we went to AKL for a late lunch. Mara has Mr. Pibb plus zebra domes (a new favorite treat for NC Beast).

Welcome back NC BELLE did ya have a fun time? How was Evererst and the dining plan?

We liked Everest--- most of the time it had 5/10 minute waits and last Saturday when NC B.'s parents went with us to AK---20/30 minute stand by at noon. I think our total was 8-10 times (2 times for his folks). MIL said 2 times was enough for her on most of the mountains.

We skipped some of our ADRs and not much trouble changing plans. We shared a lot credits with his parents and brought home a lot of Chip and Dale snacks. I had lost most of my appetite so I shared with my in-laws on counters and some of the TS.

I noticed a lot of smoking everywhere---but the designated spots. One of the people in the room next door thought it was okay to smoke in our doorway area at Pop. I had to get checked by Reedy Creek EMTs because I thought I was having a slight asthma attack triggerd by the smoke (I didn't have my inhaler).
We decided that we need to save up more money to stay at AKL again or another resort with less smoking hazzards.

We had a decent trip despite getting sick halfway through. I'm scratching off Sept. as trip potentials because of heat and those blasted lovebugs (yuck)

I am sorry that you got sick at WDW.. that is so sad... you had planned for the trip and expected wonderful things and then to be sick is a bummer..

I have stayed at POP and never had a issue with smokers.. must be the luck of the draw.. I am sorry you ran into them..I would be like you and in the ER with a bad attack too.
