Ok, so it's Wednesday and I'm already to leave work today and take our trip to DL. Only today and tomorrow to do. Ibounctoo and I are driving over with our friend Miss V (13) to CA. We are stopping at the infamous Palm Springs outlet mall to check on s few items that we might "need".

Then on to Candy Cane Inn (? is that the correct name Jackie?) where we'll "freshen" up and meet our future DIS Cruising friends CLynne and her DH and two lovely DK (darling kids). Also joining us is Woody and his DW (not DGS - german sheppard) for dinner at (mind is drawing a blank) - Storyteller's!!! Yes, I love when my mind actually catches up!

Then maybe walking, and talking till bedtime -only to rise at the crack'o dawn to get our WILL CALL tickets so we can hit PIRATES updated ride!!!! YIPEE!!!!

My truck has been oiled changed and tire check... today I'm having it washed and cleaned for our road trip!! My packing list is almost complete - you'd think I was crusing eh?

Crocs are coming, and camera cuz I intend on Stalking the new "CM" playing Captain Jack Sparrow.... did we show you folks the photo? I'd post if it was a matter of cut and paste - but cannot due to being at work and not having access to an online photo site for pics. Sorry!!! Maybe I'll have ibouncetoo do it for me when she breaks for lunch? Oh hear that sister?

Good morning and TGIF!!!!!

That's a great picture!!! There is a Chicago DISer on the Chicago Thread who has a DH that makes his own costumes, and one of them is Jack Sparrow . He is amazing and incredibly talented!!!! He was just on the Chicago local news in costume, and he looked just like him - AMAZING!!!!

Have a great trip you two - stay safe!!!! I can hardly wait to hear about your trip when you come home!!

It's going to be 100 degrees here today

. I know many of you are used to that kind of heat, but we aren't here in the Chicago area All I can say is, I'm so glad we have a pool

We are getting ready to go to NC Beast's office picnic, but at least they have a covered shelter to stay of the sun.

It was fun---we were lucky to have a nice breeze and it was in a wooded area. I give more details later---time to eat some of the leftovers from the picnic. The main boss' wife sent us home with a lot of food (soda, Fritos, potato chips, burgers, tomatoes, lettuce, fruit, & Goldfish crackers).

It was fun---we were lucky to have a nice breeze and it was in a wooded area. I give more details later---time to eat some of the leftovers from the picnic. The main boss' wife sent us home with a lot of food (soda, Fritos, potato chips, burgers, tomatoes, lettuce, fruit, & Goldfish crackers).

I'm glad you had a nice time, and it wasn't to unbearably hot there Isn't great to have leftovers?! It's so nice not to have to plan dinner for an evening

This is a running around day here. Steph has school , then we have to go order her birthday balloons

, then go order her birthday cake and do grocery shopping, then I'll let the girls swim a little bit, then Steph has swim lessons, then I have school , and then I finally get to stay home to go to sleep

. YIKES, I'm worn out just thinking about it Actually, it's not going to be that bad at all

Potato chips are evil things...to addictive. I remembered why yesterday why I cut it out of our shopping trips. We just finished most of the leftovers except for the fritos (saving it for frito pie this weekend) and lettuce. We had to eat most of the tomatoes up fast---they were so yummy.

We lost power for over 2 hours because of an electrical fire about a mile or so down the road. Poor Jessie had to suffer with her fur coat.

My aunt from San Antonio uses chili on top of fritos and then add cheese. I remember seeing a Food Network show where the original recipe involes a small snack size bag of Fritos opened up like a bowl...then chili is applied and other toppings like cheese. It is super easy---I'm going to make homemade black bean chili.
