I can think of two moving sidewalks in WDW-at the exit of SM and at the entrance to TTA.Are there any others? Also, why hasn't Disney built them into some areas of the parks such as around WS.Is it just too cost-prohibitive?Thanks.:D

I think they're also at the exit to POTC and the entrance to HM ride. Also, perhaps at the entrance/exit of Buzz Lightyear and Journey Into Your Imagination. I can't remember other places, fortunately-I'm one of those people who panics when I see those; I'm always so afraid I'll klutz out and fall down!

Well, the moving Speedramps, like those used at TTA are not wheelchair friendly at all, they are too steep. As far as a moving sidewalk, like those at Space Mtn, they can pose a hazzard if the exit from the side walk becomes congested for some reason, like a rain storm and people stopping to put on their ponchos...the folks behind them on the moving sidewalk would come crashing into them.

The ones used to load omnimovers (like the one at Spaceship Earth and the actual load area of TTA) work well, but can also have problems if exiting traffic stops for some reason. Fortunately Spaceship Earth empties into a large building, which cuts down on problems there.

All listed so far are correct. There is also one boarding Peter Pan.

I would think that cost is one reason for not having more. The other reason is ADA guidelines. Very difficult or impossible for a disabled individual to get on and off of those meaning the ride would have to stop each time someone needed to board.

DW was temporarily disabled a few years ago after knee surgery. We went to Hershey for a weekend. Getting on the chocolate factory tour there is a revolving platform. She had a terrible time getting on and off without injuring herself. There's no way she could have put up with a park full of rides like that.

Thank heavens!! I though I was the only person who panicked upon seeing those things!! I am so clumsy anyway!! I just know I'm gonna tunk over head first!!

I like them but you guys are right about too many people wnating to be on them. It would be like your driving on the road.:p

I'm usually all for change, but I would hate to see the ambience of WS ruined by moving sidewalks. Now if they wanted to add a country or two I'd be all for that!!
The moving sidewalks might be cool in Future World though, but I'm not sure exactly where.
