Moving Office!

Just be told we are moving office!

Still in the same building but to another block. At the moment we are on the corner of the building on the 1st floor - surrounded by windows. So we get plenty of day light and fresh air.

We are now moving to the ground floor of another block. This area used to be a manufacturing area and has been converted into office space. There is one large window at the far side of the office from where our desks are going. So no natual light or fresh air will reach my desk

We are thinking of starting a side line in mushroom growing

That's not very nice, I can sympathise with you.

We were in the same situation three years ago. We moved from a light, bright area where we overlooked trees and a pond. They moved us to the end of the building, looking out onto a generator house, with a huge chimney stack....lovely it was so dark we called it "Mushrooms Mansions"

The good news is though, they have decided that this office is now needed for other staff so we are moving back to where we came from only 1 floor higher.

Lets hope your move is only a temporary one also

Oh dear!

I used to work in the Sub-basement of a major London telephone exchange.

We were the "pit ponies" in the winter - starting at 07:30 you only surfaced at lunchtime for a beer or six!
