Mom is 83 and has cancer (myeloma & non-hodgkins lymphoma) She was diagnosed with it in 2000, right after both DS's and I got back from our first trip to WDW. (Oldest DS has since married and made me a grandma!
)
At that time Mom was given 3 years, but, thankfully, she is still with us. I have been fortunate enough to take her with youngest DS and myself to WDW. Our summer 2002 trip was our dream trip. We stayed at the Poly. I took her again the week after Christmas 2004, and we stayed at the Swan
.
My sister and I have noticed she is slowing down considerably and gets confused so we have decided it is time for her to not be alone.
I took a week's vacation so I could make room for her at my house. My bedroom and bath are on the 1st floor. She will take over my room and I will move upstairs. I have tried to make her room as cheerful as I can. Here is where she will stay.
Remember Susie in your thoughts and prayers!
She wants to go to her family reunion in Alabama in October. If she is healthy I will take her.

. What a cozy room you've created for your DM. It's takes a wonderful loving daughter to rearrage her home to accommodate her Mom. I'm sure your Mom, Susie, will love her new place, time spent with you, and hopefully be able to attend the reunion. God willing, may she continue to beat the odds and she enjoy many more yrs.
It looks beautifull and prayers for you and your Mom
it.
