Hi...we are going to DW in August...this year we have decided to stay 3 nights at POP and 5 nights at Poly....we have never moved before from one resort to another....can someone please tell me how much trouble or inconvenience this is? Do you pack up all your stuff the morning of "the move"? What time of the day do cast members typically move your stuff...You have to understand that me and my DH or total Disney people and leave our room in the AM around 6 or 6:30..this is also a SURPRISE for the kids DS, 11 and DD, 10...when we took them 5 years ago, we stayed at AsMo...but we think it will be totally cool, when we get to stay directly on the monorail..thanks for your input..

Give Luggage Assistance a call the night before to arrange the transfer.

Have all your bags packed, and ready to go. Leave them inside the room, by the door. Luggage Assistance will pick them up while you're off at the parks, and they'll be transferred to the Polynesian betweeen 1-3pm.

Wow! That's quite the upgrade and your kids are going to be amazed at the Poly! This has made my day reading this because I can just imagine how the looks on their faces as they realize they get to stay there. They will remember this for a long time and what great thing to do for the family. Just listen to what Chip & Dale express wrote above and you'll be fine. Enjoy your stay at the Poly and have a wonderfull trip! :wizard:

We did a transfer from Beach Club to Poly and it was a nightmare. Just a word of advice, if you want anything for the day like bathing suits etc, that you want earlier than the afternoon, keep it with you in a backpack, duffle bag etc. We finally got our luggage like after 6 pm at night, it was still at the Poly, the BC guy personally went over to get it., little ds was in tears by the time they got it a storm had started so there went swimming. Now if we transfer I just have dh and one ds take a taxi to the next resort and I bus over with the other 2 ds. We also bussed from Poly to swan and by the time I bussed over, dh was already in the room with the luggage watching tv with the one ds. Its a free service you can use, but just be prepared if you want anything out of your luggage during the day.
