I am thinking about doing the paint the night package at blue bayou. I am concerned about having a decent spot for the fireworks on Main Street though where u can see everything (projections, tinker bell, nemo, etc). I have read that we will be facing the train station & we should immediately turn around & head up Main Street but I assume this isn't that simple, there will be people in the way when we turn around and I will be pushing a double jogging stroller with 2 little ones plus have 2 other kids to hustle along. How realistic is it to get down Main Street at all considering my stroller & 2 other kids. How far up could we get? We this be a good spot or not? I am considering the Aladdin package too but I really want to eat at BB and I really want to see the fireworks from Main Street. TIA!!!

Based on what I've read about where the Blue Bayou's reserved viewing section is now located (across from the train station, so in Town Square), I honestly think you're going to have a tough time moving far enough up Main Street to be able to see everything in the fireworks show. The hardest element to see from Main Street is the Matterhorn; you pretty much have to clear the buildings and trees to see it, which means getting into the Hub area. If you're okay with not seeing the Matterhorn, then I would try to at least make it at least 3/4ths of the way up Main Street (to about where the Candy Palace is located). You'll be able to see Tinkerbell, Nemo, and the projections on the buildings. However, yes, as the parade passes by, guests fill out onto Main Street, so by the time the parade finishes up in Town Square, Main Street (towards the Hub) can be pretty full. I think your best bet is going to be get into the flow of traffic moving up Main Street and then move out into the street if you see a spot where you can fit and know that it might not be a "prime" or "ideal" viewing spot (I think the stroller is going to make it tough to move and find a spot), but as long as you're past the Market House, you'll still be immersed in the show.

(I haven't actually tried this with a stroller, but I have tried to move up Main Street just after the parade cleared the route. It's not the easiest thing to do and you have to be patient. The biggest thing I can say is make sure you're going with the flow of traffic and not against it because that can be very slow going.)

I was up by the train station watching Paint the Night last time I was there. And it was nearly impossible to get far up Main Street to see the Castle.

We did the PTN/BB package and tried to move up Main street after the parade went by. We walked straight back in the flagpole circle (if the train station is 12 o'clock and we walked to 6 o'clock) and they had roped off the back side of the flagpole area and used it as a walkway so we were basically jammed in to the back of the flagpole circle unable to get around with our stroller. If you are trying to get down Main Street try staying on the outside of the flagpole circle and weave your way down from there.

Can you walk behind the parade? I feel like we did that last summer? As soon as the last float passed, we hopped behind the CMs and just followed it down Main St. Maybe I am remembering incorrectly. We watched from Main St in March and were about at the candy shop (name?) and moved into the street immediately the parade and still could not get up far enough to see the matterhorn. We could see fw, projections on Main St, snow, tink and nemo....but since I am so short, it was really impossible to 'see' much. I wish there were a better way. I would pay $ for a good view of the fireworks show one single time!

I think you are remembering following the first parade (going from IASW to Town Square). The BB section is at the end of that route, so there is no way to follow the parade. Friends who work for DLR, including one who worked on DF, have told me that these fireworks were designed to have multiple prime viewing locations, not just one. So while you can view from IASW, MS, the hub, the train station, TL, etc. and have a different experience each time, there isn't one magic location that allows you to see everything at once. DL management wants guests to view the show multiple times from different places so the show never gets old. So don't feel bad that you didn't find one place to see everything since the show wasn't designed that way.

This very helpful info. since I was thinking about the same thing of where could we see it all. Now I know not to try so hard for something that is not possible. I made ressies for the Aladdin pckge and I'm good with that sine I'll be in an ECV and we also have a stroller.:lovestruc
