Next Sunday morning we will be moving to OKW from Art of Animation. We have no car this trip. In the past when we've done this we've given our luggage to the Bell Service folks to move and then taken a bus to Hollywood Studios and then a bus from HS to OKW. I have been wondering this year about just catching a cab from AOA to OKW and take our luggage with us. Any idea how much a cab would cost for this short trip? What would you do?

For me, it would really depend what our plans were for the day. If we were going to a park, we would drop the luggage with Bell Services, take a bus to whichever park we were going to, then get a bus back to the resort later.

Don't forget that, although you have to check out of AOA by (I assume) 11am, there are no guarantees that there will be a room ready for you at OKW at that time. If you took a cab with your luggage and your room wasn't ready, you would still need to get Bell Services to store your luggage for you until your room was ready, to leave you free to do something else while you were waiting.

For me, I would rather be off enjoying myself than waiting around for a room to be ready so I would drop the luggage, ask for it to be transferred and go off and enjoy a park for the day.

Going from vague memory, I would think it will be under $20 for that cab ride. Take the bags, do the checkin process. If by chance a room is ready, drop the bags in the room. If it's not (and it's 99.999% that it's not going to be ready) leave them with Bell Services, go enjoy your day.

The difference of dropping them personally with BellS and letting BellS transport them is that if later in the day (but before official checkin time) you realize you left something in your bags you can go to the resort and get the bag. If they are transporting it, it's not there at the resort where you left it; it's in limbo.

Completely agree! We have taken a cab in the past when doing split stats, and will do so again in May or this very reason! So worth the $20!

We went from Kidani to AOA last week. The can ride was $15 plus tip. I called 15 min before and ordered the cab. I sent the rest of the family with Dad to the park. I did online check in and the room was ready at 930 am! I was shocked. Bell Services delivered the luggage and we checked out the room before meeting up back at the park. We chose not to have Bell Services do the luggage because we take afternoon breaks. Luggage is done 1-3 and I wanted our bathing suits available if the room wasn't ready
