It's finally time. The ABF trailer is getting dropped off tomorrow. Everyone hope that it isn't too big to get into our apartment complex, there are no cars where we expect to park it, and DH and I don't' kill each other while trying to load it.

It's not coming until probably 11AM tomorrow, so we probably won't get everything loaded in one day, which means Thursday will be cleaning day. We are leaving Scottsdale on Friday, spending the night in Santa Fe, NM and then up to pick up keys in CO on Saturday.

Then everyone hope that the stupid white stuff that is rearing its ugly head on next Tuesday's forecast is wrong. We think the truck will be delivered on either Monday or Tuesday, and we have a GREAT place to park and unload it. Only it's on a secondary plow street, and we can't park there if they have to plow. Then we will have to play the "will it fit, can we find enough spots" game on that end.

Good luck w/ the loading, moving and I sure hope that yucky white stuff stays away til you all get unload and into the house!!!!!

Take care and have a safe trip.. report in when you can!!!!

Praying for a safe trip and smooth packing Hope. And extra hugs to you and Kat. I know tomorrow is going to be tough for you both.

Let us know when you get settled.

:tink: pixiedust: I know how hard moving state to state is...I moved DH from Brooklyn to our new apartment in NJ. We couldn't park the truck so my BIL kept circling around the block for us:lmao:

:pixiedust:
For no white stuff and an easy loading and unloading.

pixiedust: For a smooth and easy move!!!

Safe travels, and best of luck with the move.

Hope! I can't believe tomorrow is the day I just wanna :sad1:. It don't help I'm sick too:sick: It has been so much fun getting together and cropping as well as sorting. I will truelly miss you so much.

On the brighter side.. GOOD LUCK! I know exactly how you are probably feeling right now as it was the same for us 2 years ago moving from oregon to Arizona. Although we were lucky enough not to have to load the trucks. Thank God!

I'm really excited for you and DH as you begin your next chapter in your new beginning! Plus I'm excited you have friends who live up there so you won't get lonely scrappin without me :rotfl:

Good Luck to your DH as he ventures into his world of working at home and lots of pixie dust and luck to you as you have to put up with him being home! heheheh..

Call or write to let us know you made it safe plz. Yu will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for the good thoughts everyone!

I'm now fluctuating between complete panic, and I'm so happy it's finally here, it will be fine.

Our hotel in Santa Fe where we are staying Friday night will have wireless, but then I will be offline until the new cable gets setup on Wed.

Good luck, Hope!! Take care packing and unpacking. Safe travels. I hope you enjoy your new home! I love Colorado!!

Moving update. The truck is loaded, we had trouble with the bulkhead but the driver will help us when they pick it up sometime between 4-7 (it's 2:30 now). We had reserved 19 feet, but it only took 16 so it will be cheaper than the original quote by $189!

Now DH and I can barely move. The worst part was doing the rope to help secure the load. We have the rest of the day and tomorrow to clean, although I don't know how much we will do tonight, probably just make sure all the nails have been removed and some vacuuming.

A new scrapbook store opened near us, so I figured I should go check it out once.

Glad loading went well and utilized less room than planned!!!! :)
Enjoy looking through the new LSS!!!

Went to the new LSS, it is pretty small but has a large upstairs crop area. I spent $12. When I went out to the car DH was freaking out. ABF called they were at our truck, so we quickly drove home. The driver fixed the bulkhead problem and now all of our stuff is on its way to its new home.

Good Luck with the move, drive safe and enjoy getting settled in your new home!
