Not sure what to title this question but hoping someone takes time to read! Have been DVC members 12 years. Like many of you, we plan WAY ahead so all of our travel this year was thrown out the window. Rarely have to waitlist and generally do not borrow points. However with last minute changes all of this went into play this year. I was able to get a upcoming reservation albeit not for the exact unit we wanted. I did waitlist but that now has expired so trying daily to just log on and see if anything comes up.
Here is my question - we have a 1 bedroom unit booked on borrowed points. Ideally we would love to replace that with a 2 bedroom (or even 3 and have friends join - but that isn't likely). If I were to find that purple unicorn availability, is there any way to use the points we borrowed for the 1 bedroom and apply to the 2 or 3 bedroom? Like with the waitlist you click on what reservation to replace? I assume there is no way to do this online but wondered if I made the 2 bedroom reservation and had to borrow more points to do so, would they then let me either "unborrow" the points I borrowed for the one bedroom or apply those to the two bedroom? Assume even if a possibility I would have to call Member Services?
I've seen some posts re unborrowing points during this time but not sure if that would apply to this situation.
