I am sure this has been asked and answered.
We usually have a car but I am considering not renting one this time. That said, we will be staying at 2 different resorts during our stay-taking ME from the airport, but how do we get to the 2nd resort? Can Disney move our luggage?

oh yes-one resort is DVC and one is not, if that matters.:confused3
Thanks.

I moved between resorts a few times and it's really easy. When you check out of your first report let bell services know that you are checking out but are transferring to another resort. They will hold your luggage and then transfer it over to your new resort later in the day. I was told that it does not get sent over until after 1:00. I usually just go to whatever park I had planned for that day and then later in the day I go to my second resort and check in. For me its been well after 3:00 or so until I've gotten to the second resort so my luggage has been with bell services when I checked in.

We did the same thing in May. We had 6 nights at BCV and then went to Pop Music for the last night. The only thing I'd do differently is tell bell services the night before that I was changing resorts. It did take a little while. DW was stunned :scared1: at how small POP was after DVC.
Also confim with your other hotel that you are taking ME on the way back. We didn't so we didn't get all the paperwork (times, etc.) the night before.

Bell services will also refrigerate your food if you have it in a reasonable sized container (I bring a good old paper bag like the grocery stores used to use for this) clearly marked as FRIDGE or FREEZER. Very useful for split stays in the DVC rooms, even if all you have is a kitchenette.

Thank you-all good to know-so I assume you get yourself to the resort via Disney transportation. I am not sure I could go to a park-I usually like to check-in and get settled but I could pack a "day" bag, and sit by the pool!

What about if you are going to Vero Beach from AKL?? Any ideas?

I would rent a car for the day. I have rented a car for the day just to get from MCO to the DCL port. It cost less than Mears or Limos or any other transport. I am not sure where you can get a car to rent in Vero, but I am sure they have them. Call the Vero resort directly ahead of time and ask if they know of any in the area. Do a one way to one of the car rentals on property. Drive to your resort, AKL, then go to the car rental place and they will drive you back to AKL. Most of them do.

We did this back in May. We spent our first night at POP Century and then moved into VWL for the rest of our stay. I didn't arrange anything ahead of time with Bell Services. We just took them our luggage around 9:00 and told them we were moving to VWL. They said our luggage would be there by 1:00. I did have a little brief case that I had my laptop in. I carried that with me. We basically took the first park bus that came, which was the HS bus. When we got to HS we then took the WL bus to the resort. We checked in but our room wasn't ready of course, so I left my laptop and case (with our VWL "Welcome Home" package) with Bell Services. We then went to MK. We got back around 3:00 and our room was ready and our luggage had arrived from POP. It was about as easy as it could be really.

Oh-too funny-all of these abbreviations and acronymns!
I refer to it as DS-Disney Studios!:goodvibes

On our last trip we stayed at CR and then the Swan. We were able to take ME from airport to CR but not from Swan to airport because the Swan isn't a WDW hotel. We had a car service take us back to the airport. No big deal, as we knew this when we booked the trip. We took a taxi to the Swan w/our luggage to check in.

You can use ME for any WDW owned hotel, just be sure to let the new hotel know you are doing this.

Bell Services can move your luggage for you or you can take a taxi.
Luggage cannot go on WDW transporation with you except for ME. So if you take a WDW bus to your new resort, your luggage cannot go with you.

Have a great vacation!
