First off you ahve to make sure it's in Ipod format which is .m4v. You might need to convert it using a converter program. I use Cucusoft and it's awesome and easy to use. Once the file is converted, just add the file to itunes and sync your ipod.

There are free ones, jsut use google to find them. The ones I did find, either didn't work, or installed spyware on my computer or BOTH. There are no "free" movies out there. You could always buy movies from iTunes.
Check out Iriverter. I use it to convert movies to play on my H320. It is simple, works great, and will convert to most any format that you could need.
If you have a Mac, you can use Handbrake, which is a free program and easy to use. There is a PC version of Handbrake but it's not as easy to use as the Mac version.

I-tunes runs weekly deals. I've gotten a bunch of movies for under $4.99.
Also, the I-tunes rentals are under $2.99. They movie just has to be watched within the month and once you start you only have 24 hours to finish it. But for a car ride that could work.
