How do you get a movie file to my ipod?

First off you ahve to make sure it's in Ipod format which is .m4v. You might need to convert it using a converter program. I use Cucusoft and it's awesome and easy to use. Once the file is converted, just add the file to itunes and sync your ipod.

I paid 30 for it. None of the free ones worked, or installed spyware on my computer.

Nothing out there for free to download? Or where is a good place to download ipod movies for cheap? We're going on a 6 hour car ride vacation and I'd like a couple of movies for the kids ipods.

There are free ones, jsut use google to find them. The ones I did find, either didn't work, or installed spyware on my computer or BOTH. There are no "free" movies out there. You could always buy movies from iTunes.

Check out Iriverter. I use it to convert movies to play on my H320. It is simple, works great, and will convert to most any format that you could need.

You can also use a program called Super, by erightsoft. I've used it extensively and really like it. Oh, and it's free.

If you have a Mac, you can use Handbrake, which is a free program and easy to use. There is a PC version of Handbrake but it's not as easy to use as the Mac version.

I-tunes runs weekly deals. I've gotten a bunch of movies for under $4.99.
Also, the I-tunes rentals are under $2.99. They movie just has to be watched within the month and once you start you only have 24 hours to finish it. But for a car ride that could work.
