I am not a scrapbooker so I don't have any fancy supplies or machines, but I am hoping you that do can help me to think of ways to create a scrapbook that someone can add their own movie stubs to that I can gift to someone for Christmas.

Here's the kicker - I would like clear slots for the person to be able to simply slip the ticket into. I know him, and I know hr wouldn't take the time to even use a glue stick :sad2:, but he's exteremly sentimental so he saves stubs to everything. Currently they have movie ticket stubs EVERYWHERE and I would really like for them to have an organized place to keep them all. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have thought to use the photo albums with the clingy pages, but when you add too many layers of paper (ie a background sheet, and then sheets to highlight each ticket, and then the ticket), the pages don't close and the things not glued down just slide around. If you can think of a way to make this work, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks again. Hopefully someone will help me come up with a great idea! If you have any photos, I would be indebted to you for a lifetime. :worship:

my thought was the baseball card holders then he can just slide them into the pockets - maybe a note with it if they need something to say what they are too

I use the We R Memory Keeper 12" x 12" photo albums.

They have different size sheet "protectors", and one of them is a 9 pocket holder for a 4"x4" "photo".

Here is an example:

and they also make an 8.5x11 in the size for baseball card:

I have shopped from the above website, but I also use Joann's website too, whichever seems to have the best prices (including shipping) and has what I need in stock.

And you could just slice up 12"x"12" papers in whatever theme you want, along with some solid pages to add some background to the ticket stub.

What a wonderful gift idea!

If you want to make pockets your self to add to a 12 by 12 album you could make library pockets (I googled library pocket and got a pattern off the web when I started. out of clear velum- so he can just stick them in and then glue the pockets to the background paper.

Sounds like a Smash book is the made-to-order solution here. Easy to find, can order on-line, comes with a pen for journaling if they care to write about the movie or event they have just seen, and the tip of the pen is a glue stick to stick the stubs down with.

Another idea, business card holds that are self-adhesive, they stick anywhere. You would buy them in an office supply store.
