I just watched Passion of the Christ and was wondering if it would ever be shown on TV. I asked my husband and he said no it was too graphic. I disagree (not about it being graphic) there is so much that is graphic on shows like CSI etc and was just wondering what others thought.

I think The Passion of the Christ is to controversal for the alphabet networks to show. Also, I think Mel Gibson has some pretty strict controls over the movie and I doubt he would allow it to be altered in any way. So I doubt it will ever be on "regular" television

Personally, I think it is an amazing movie and I am glad I saw it in the theatres, its not the same movie at home on my living room television.

They managed to get Saving Private Ryan on air, unedited, uninterrupted--so I could see a day where a similar thing will happen with Passion.

As long as it could get ratings and make the network money and be aired as MG would like it to be aired--then it certainly can happen.

(and yes stations refused to go to network programming for SPR-but that was few and far between the markets that opted to do that).

Its been on here in the UK and not adapted. Think I'd let my kids make up their own minds whether they wanted to watch it tho. But for me, it was brilliant. :)
