Does anyone know what restaurants/what choices you have if you do that movie and meal deal for $19.95? Is it worth it? Can you go to any movie, or just select movies?
thanks!

the menu and resturants are on another thread in this forum. it is in detail.

you buy the movie & meal from the stand in city walk. you are given two vouchers, one for the cineplex and one for the resturant.

you can choose the resturant on the list. from there, you choose the item/entree that is included in this program.

you can see any movie you choose. you take the movie voucher and it is exchanged for a movie ticket.

you do not have to do both movie and meal on the same date.

if you have the entertainment book, there is a free coupon for this m & m.

totally free.

it is worth it if you plan to see a movie and eat at city walk.
when i used it last, it was $14.99 and a real deal then.

if you do not like the selection of resturants or menu allowed, then it would not be a good thing for you.

When you say that there is a coupon in the Entertainment book...do you mean a spacific one? or THE entertainment book...the $50 one with all the coupons?

the free movie & meal deal is in the back of the entertain book in the glossy section. it is a specific coupon. you do not use the ent card for this offer

it is in all of them.
usually around march, you can buy the ent book at deep discounts.
between $5-10 for the book and well worth it as the m & m would cost $19.99 plus tax for one person.

End of march? U mean it will get lower than 50% off?
Why spend 19.99 for the m & m, when ALL 2006 entertainment books are now 50% off? You may buy it and get the discounts or give the book as a gift, after you take the m & m coupon out of the book of course. I just got mine! here is the page:

if you don't mind not getting the regional book of where you live, order the cheapest book on the ent site.

or if you want the book for your area, wait a few more months, if you have time before your trip, and buy then. the book cost drops when there is less than 6 months left on the 06 books.

So you don't have to buy the book for Orlando? The coupons are in all the entertainment books? Or am I mistaken

correct, all in the books no matter what region you buy.

if you buy the orlando book, you will get orlando area local coupons.

i buy the north chgo book and get the burger king, wendys, local take out resturants, dry cleaners etc in my area. but, do have the same national coupons as all the other books.

FYI:

I tried using this "coupon" on my recent trip and was told that it wasn't a coupon at all--just an advertisement for the "movie and meal deal". They said that the "coupon" had no value at all. :(

mine is definitely a coupon....a cut it out coupon...and it says "entitles bearer to....

you were told wrong. i know 2 people that have recently used it.
you take it to the booth to redeem for 2 vouchers. one for the movie and one for the meal.

goofyfordisney: I was nervous when I read your post because I have recently gathered several of them. The coupon has a UPC on it so it definately has value it also says right on it "THIS Movie and Meal Pass may be redeemed at the following CityWalk Restaurants." I can see why it could be misleading.

Macraven, what booth do I go to with this pass? And do you know anyone who has used more than one with their family? Like family of 2 or more with 2 or more of these coupons using them during the same meal?

Goofyfordisney: just out of curiousity...where did you try to redeem those coupons that they turned you down?

yes, i do know that you can use more than one ticket per family.

it has been posted on here before that multi people in the same group have redeemed the meal voucher portion.

i know the coupon states redeem at the resturants but that won't cut it.

go to the booth, one near margaritaville (on that side also) to exchange the coupon for the 2 vouchers.

It was meant to be an advertisement not a coupon. Because it was misprinted in the book to look like a coupon, Universal has been honoring them. Go to Citywalk Guest Services to redeem them. When they first came out, Universal was informing guests that it was not a coupon but after several complaints of how misleading the ad was, they decided to honor them as coupons. Better to lose some money rather than dealing with irate guests. One more example of Universal's great customer service.

It has been going on for at least a couple of years right? If they werent going to honor it they wouldn't have kept it in the 2006 book would they? Is there any chance they will stop honoring it?

We were eating at Margueritaville--when we were getting seated, I asked the hostess where I go to redeem the coupon--I knew that I had to find the Citywalk customer service kiosk...she told me that they were not honoring them at Margueritaville. I didn't push it--we really wanted to eat there and I didn't feel like a fight...I was on vacation! ;)

I just thought I'd warn people that they may run into the same thing!

I don't know about previous years but I know this year was supposed to be an advertisement. Was last year maybe a buy one get one free deal?

if i haven't thrown the 04 book out, i will look it up for you.

i found out about it by chance last october. i was in city walk and a couple there had redeemed the coupon. they each had the coupon.

don't think it was buy one get one free as i went solo and was told by this couple i should have brought my coupon on my vacation.

when i got home, i looked it up and lo and behold, it was there in the glossy section.
