The morning the movers came, I had a glass of juice and a plate with my breakfast on it. Later I went to wash it and couldn't find it, so I thought my mom must have washed it and they packed it. A month later, when I finally got around to one of the boxes, what did I find?? Yes, a glass with a bit of dried juice in the bottom and a plate with dried-out ketchup (from my hashbrowns) and bread crumbs (from my toast) on it!!!!!!
ROTFLMAO!!! OMG!! NOW THAT IS QUITE AN INTRODUCTION TO MILITARY LIFE!!!
When we moved back to the mainland from Hawaii the mover came at 5pm..on a Friday night.. no kidding waited all day for the buggers.. Well they happened to be the best movers we ever had, they were Samoan fellas.. big and strong! They emptied out our 3 bedroom townhouse in 2 hours flat (it was boxed the day before). When our furniture arrived in 29 Palms... somehow we ended up having a couch with no cushions, a dining room table with no legs, a bed with no mattress-but the boxspring was there... ended up somehow some of our stuff got sent to Travis Air Base in Northern Ca....
We lived with the no cost Military rental furniture kit too.. Oh that stuff is so dang ugly! I know ours was from the 50's at least... but the kitchen utensils sure came handy while we waited 2 months in Hawaii for our stuff to be delivered...
