Moved my flight up twice....I'm crazy!

I booked a very short (3 day) WDW trip about three months ago, for me and my DD (13). It will be our last trip for awhile....I'm a cast member with a Disney-affiliated company, but they sold the company...I'll be an "ex-cast member" in June.

My original plan was to leave the NYC area at around 2PM on Thursday, May 17th. But after I told DD about the trip several weeks ago, DW suggested that I book an earlier flight, so we could get down there by noon or so on Thursday. I didn't want DD to miss another half-day of school, but she's a great student, so I changed the flight to 8AM (with a $$ penalty from the airline). With no delays, we would've been at MGM by noon or so on the 17th.

So today, during the morning commute....I started thinking about how hard I work...thinking about how short life is...and thinking about how much DD loves WDW. When I got to the office, I changed the flight AGAIN...this time to 7PM Wednesday night. More penalty $$ from the airline! But I don't care...to me, it was worth $200 just to be at the Magic Kingdom at 8AM on Thursday morning. We'll arrive at Pop Century for a one-night stay at around 10:30PM on Wednesday, May 16th. Then it's off to AKL for one night, and POR for two.

I'm a little poorer, but a LOT happier!!

Oh believe me I understand. I first changed my flight going down from 8:10 PM to 5:05 and yesterday I changed my flight coming back from 4:30 PM to 8:15 PM. Every second in Disney is precious. We are only going from Thursday to Monday so it is a short trip for us too.

I am so with you. DH doesn't let me make flight arrangements anymore until the trip is locked in.

Money is just a tool!! Its nothing, living life and being happy is what its all about!! Have a wonderful magical time!!
