AK closes early - so what happens if you go for dinner around 6 or a little after and aren't finished by 7 when the park closes? do they kick you out or just not accept guests after 6pm to make sure you're only there an hour?

We had a 5:00 p.m. ADR on a 5:00 p.m. park closing day and I think only 1 other couple was seated after we were so I don't think they accept ADR's later than closing time, but they DO accept them up to closing time, I know.

Anyway, we were finished with our meal around 6:30 p.m. and though we were not rushed out, they did have CM's standing outside the restaurant and along the path out to make sure we found our way out. There would be no wandering! LOL

It is in Asia, across from the Royal Anandapur Tea Company, in the Kali River Rapids area.

That's for sure! I did this in December. I asked for the latest seating at Yak and Yeti, which they said would be 1/2 hour before the park closed. After dinner, I walked around the resturant and took some pictures, and left the park 1 1/2 hours after it closed. I'd checked before about buses-there are buses until 9:00, I think they said, because of Rainforest Cafe. The resturant is in Asia, right by the walkway from EE. I got some beautiful pictures that late.

Well, not at the Yak & Yeti, but we did the same thing at LeCellier at EPCOT. Didn't finish eating until an hour after the park closed. The CMs actually let us saunter VERY slowly around, and we never felt like we were being kicked out. We took quite awhile to leave, even stopped for several pics along the way. What a difference from the rush to the busses after Illuminations!

hummmmm maybe we'll let the kids fall asleep in their strollers and take the late sittings at least once per park to see them when closed.

I was wondering this exact thing last night. On our last visit to AK we stayed until closing and then went to Boma but on our next trip we would also love to try Yak for dinner now one evening and will also make the latest ADR possible . Walking through AK when it's practically empty of guests..just another thing to be excited about .
