Move to the EU and DLP

Well we went to DLP two years ago. Then was honored to be part of the Christmas card exchange last year.

Now in April my DH will take a position at an international school in the Netherlands.

I guess I have best learn to like DLP quirks and all as it is going to be my only Disney for a few years.

When we went two years ago, we were the only folks in customs. Is it not as popular there? I have been making customs for years and love wearing the creations.

Customs are I'm guessing clothing ?

People don't wear special outfits in the parks just normal clothes. Children dress up of course in the character costumes or Princess dresses but adults are allowed anyway to be in the park in costume

From time to time you might see a group with their names on tshirts but it's rare

ps-Congratulations on your move, I saw your thread over on the CB and wondered if your OH had managed to change his starting date or not.

Are you going now as well or waiting until August ?

Yes, he got the job and he took it. He leave April 18. I have a summer job that I love so I will stay back here for the summer, then come over in August.

We wore our custom clothing when we went two years ago and all the cast members commented. Even guests asked where we got them and seem surprised that I make the clothing.

I guess we can be different, although very against what I read for the NL. Normal is different enough.

I was planning to run a quiz in January to beat off the post-Christmas blues but I was getting so frustrated at how slow it's been to load pages to read let alone post that I abandoned the idea. And now I've got a new puppy I haven't got the time right now ..... but I've already bought the prizes so will do one at some time ..... maybe after I get back from our summer trip ..... or if not next January.
