I wasn’t sure where to post this so please feel free to move it if there’s a more appropriate place.

I live in NJ and plan to move to Florida in a few years when I retire. In the meantime I was wondering if anyone has any insight on purchasing a small, cheap vacation property in the area. I was thinking it would be a place I could stay and would allow me to purchase a resident annual pass. I could live there when I retire until I find a more permanent place. It would have to be very cheap since I have a mortgage up here. I just have no idea where to start so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Regal Oaks Resort Vacation Townhomes (combo resort and townhomes, secure gated community... very clean and very popular!

This holiday season my daughter rented a 2 story townhome from owner and asked me to check it out since I live almost next door in Celebration... at first I was nervous about location behind the Old Town Amusement Park and RV Neighborhood Community,. But the more I drove around ,I realized it was actually very clean and appeared very safe. As I waited for their arrival ,I drove around some more and realized this was very popular as families were checking in loaded with their groceries for a long stay. I also noticed that the trash was picked up outside doors and secure driving around. The location is ideal for easy 10 minute drive to WDW and the Celebration Publix and restaurants.
My impression would be great for your visits and probably easy to rent.

I just googled RegalOaks Resort Vacation Townhomes in Kissimee, Florida and the realtor.com site looks like it has many for sale... so probably very negotiable.

Do they sell them? I’m looking to purchase.

Sorry, I edited to add more info about sales online.... so answer is Yes
I also know you should check the homeowners fees and requirements and the credit worthiness of the Homeowners Association and what is covered as their responsibility
versus the homeowners responsibilities... and look for mold problems with inspector! In other words find a good realtor!
Have you watched any of the videos made by Dis boards members ?
I think they seem very trustworthy but currently renting so not certain.
I am always looking on realtor.org.
Almost bought a few months ago but Mold issue so backed out With Celebration not Regal Oaks...
