I know Titanic discussion has been a buzz lately, I find the story fascinating myself. I know I recently watched "A Night to Remember", of course I have seen the James Cameron version a number of times, I have been to the museum. I have also watched a number of documentaries about Titanic.

In a more light-hearted tragedy... how about that that Carnival Triumph? OMG I watched that on Netflix. I do not think I would have survived that cruise. Thankfully I don't think anybody died on the "poop cruise", it must have been traumatic for those involved.

We watched it too. Omg. I would have lost it. My husband thought it wouldn’t be a big deal to poop in a red bag since that’s what you do when camping. Yuck. No thank you. Hopefully carnival fixed all their issues and that won’t happen again.

Know nothing of which you speak (I'll go look) but our first cruise ever was on the Carnival Triumph. Was 20 years ago, last minute change of vacation, had NO IDEA what we were doing. Had a good time but at that point decided Carnival was not for us. Have since done 4 RCI cruises ... I'm good if I never cruise again. I'm thinking if this is what it reads like .... I'm might definitely be done.

What a nightmare! I felt so bad for the divorced dad who took his daughter on a cruise to spend time with her and that happened.

We watched it too and it definitely would have been a traumatic experience for everyone.

When we were watching it, and they were talking about peeing in the shower and girls squatting in there, I said to my DH…..there’s no way I’d be squatting. There’s 5 million cups and glasses on that ship. I’d pee in that like I do for a urine sample and then pour it into the shower drain.

Then, when it came to the red bag, my DH says…..he’d find a bowl, put the bag around the bowl, go to the bathroom, take the bag off the bowl, turn it inside out so the contents stay in (when I pick up after my dog I put my hand in the bag, pick up the 💩, turn the bag inside out, tie a knot and toss it).

Obviously the sewage all over the floor makes me want to 🤮, but how does anyone wash their hands? This makes me want to 🤮 more.

That whole thing was disgustingly disgusting. I know someone that works for Carnival and has been for 25 years. I’m really looking forward to talking to her about this documentary.

I don’t think I want to watch
I remember watching the news when it happened.
. I sailed on her years ago on a cruise to nowhere because she went out of a local port on off season.
She has been renamed
The Carnival Sunshine.

I saw this pop up in streaming and skipped over it but maybe I gotta watch because OMG

Watched it last night. Those poor people. The "pooh in a bag" request wouldn't be the end of the world, but I can't imagine the SMELL on that ship. Hot, thousands of people who couldn't shower, (probably) rotten food, pee overflow. And then the ship tilted and all hell broke loose. OMG, I can't imagine.

They apparently cleaned the ship up and now it sails under the name of "Carnival Sunrise". Knowing the history, I could never step foot on it. :crazy2:

It was disgusting. I'd never sail Carnival, though it could potentially happen on any ship. Was interesting to watch, just don't eat anything beforehand!

I didn’t get too far into it, the poop lasagna description had me dry heaving.

Watched this a few days ago. OMG, talk about the cruise from hell. So vile. Terrible ordeal for passengers and crew alike. But who thought giving out free booze was a good idea?

It’s the carnival sunrise. I sailed on the sunshine in 2019. It’s the sister ship I believe.

I think the worst part for me was the people having to wade through that water.... At least Jack and Rose were just wading through regular ocean water on the Titanic :duck:

That was so disgusting. I’m shocked there wasn’t an outbreak of some water borne illness rss after that.
