Wanna see the fruit tray I made for my dd's preschool Christmas party today?

I'm sure I'm not the first person to come up with this idea, but I did come up with it on my own. I'm so proud of myself, because I am rarely this domestically creative. :rotfl:

What creative things have you done for the holidays?

That is adorable. Good job!

I used to think I was creative, now I know better. :thumbsup2

Thats awesome. Isn't it funny how when you do soemthing so domisticated and wifey that you want to go HAH!! to Martha LOL. I baked about 4 or 5 dozen cookies yesterday and I was like I'm super wifey :cool1:

My best Martha tip is so easy - put some cloves and cinnamon in some water and bring it to a boil, then simmer on the back of the stove. Keep adding water - you don't want it to burn out. Makes the house smell delicious all season - and literally as easy as boiling water!!!

That fruit tray looks fantastic! Hope you don't mind if I borrow your idea, Martha-my daughter's class party is next week! :)

Really cute! :thumbsup2 But how did you get it to school without messing it up! :confused3 :goodvibes

Hot glue gun ;)

I made a curtain once using a hot glue gun, because I couldn't sew. While admiring my handiwork, my MIL reminded me that I would never be able to launder the curtain, or it would fall all apart. She volunteered to run a sewing machine over my masterpiece, and in the process, she gummed up her needle so bad I am not sure she was ever able to fix it.

In high school my home ec project for fall was a big gingerbread house all beautiful and whatever. No matter the amount of icing I made with the powder sugar I couldnt get the house to stay together. I hot gued it together.

I thought it would slide all over on the way to school, too, but it didn't. I think the melon and orange slices were sticky enough to stay in place after being laid flat on the tray. :confused3 I tried to put the grapes and blueberries kind of between the melon slices so they wouldn't roll away. I only had to replace a couple of those when we got there.

Thanks everyone! :teeth:

It was really a hit, and I certainly don't mind anyone borrowing the idea.
