I appreciate a good 'stache, but the emphasis is on "good".

My dad had a mustache when I was born. He shaved it off when I was in my teens. I didn't recognize him for 2 years after that.

I like a neat moustache. DH has one and I have never seen him without it (except for pictures when he was younger). He even had a beard when we met. If he shaved off his moustache I would feel like I was sleeping with another man.

I've never understood the stigma about facial hair. Disney did (or maybe still does) have a rule against it for CM's (at least male ones ). Never understood the big deal.

Well, it's hard to kiss a guy with a stache so I prefer the "soul patch" although that can get a little irritating too. To each his own.

A couple years ago DH grew a beard while I was out of the country for a week. I think he did it for punishing me for being gone. I begged and pleaded and withheld until he shaved it. It looked terrible - although it might have been o.k. if he had trimmed it.
