I have just read on Facebook that Mousemeets 2011 is going to be held in Birmingham on the weekend of 30th April and 1st May. Thought I would post it here in case anyone is interested in attending. :thumbsup2

I saw that too.

I was just wondering, does anybody from the DIS ever go to the mousemeets?

There were quite a few of us at this year's one in Manchester, in fact if I remember rightly it was a DIS team that won the trivia quiz. I'm up for a weekend in Birmingham next year so I'll probably be there. :thumbsup2

A few of us did last year .... it was the first one but we enjoyed it ... meeting up with our Disney friends is always good and the Mousemeets events were good. We loved seeing Snow White on the big screen so hopefully they would do something like this again. There were also quizzes and guest speakers, Disney market-place and pin trading so it was all very interesting.

We would do it again if we are not on holiday, but it would be even better if lots of DISers were there :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I was at the Manchester one last year with my Dad and we really enjoyed it! We're hopeful to get tickets for next years too, it should be a great weekend! :thumbsup2

I will be having a Mousemeet of my own on that weekend :banana:
I hope those of you that go will have a fab time!
gems :goodvibes

Last years was great fun! DW is looking forward to going again next year.

We went to last one and had good fun! In fact I was in the winning team! :dance3:

I'm quite sad we can't make next year's event :( We have a family wedding that weekend, so I'll be dancing the weekend away as an alternative! :cutie:

I won't know what we can plan for 2011 until we know if Taryn is doing the WDW ICP. If she goes to Florida it will be the last weekend in May and that will really dictate our travel plans for the year. If we go to Florida to visit her, plus take a cruise, that will eat up all our budget and weekend breaks may well not be an option.

Anyone else going to Mousemeets. DW and I bought our tickets yesturday.

I would like to have gone but couldn't really stretch to it as we're going to DLRP a month later. Maybe next year.

Hope you all have a great time. :goodvibes

I'm going and hoping to have a table again. I've been unearthing some really fun Disney stuff to sell!

What exactly is mousemeets??
Is it suitable for kids or just adults ??
We live so close to Birmingham it would be rude not to go if its kiddie friendly.

It's basically a weekend-long get together of Disney fans. Last year there was a live recording of the Disney Brit podcast, a talk on the pros and cons of buying a villa in Florida and renting it out (or not), a presentation on the history of Port Orleans resort plus pin trading, stalls selling Disney items and more. Then on the Sunday the organisers had hired out one of the screens at the cinema in Manchester and showed Snow White & The Seven Dwarves followed by a Disney trivia quiz.

It is most definitely kid friendly so it would be great to see you there. :goodvibes

Hi all!

Tickets are selling well and we have some great stuffed planned for this year's event already. Hoping to have some more stuff confirmed very soon. If you haven't bought your tickets yet then there are still some left. You can pick them up at www.mousemeets.co.uk

I hope to see you all there.
