I throw the towels and washclothes in the washing machine if I feel I need fresh ones before day 4....that kind of laundry is mindless!

They will remove the extra towels and not replace them. You can purchase an additional towel pack if desired.

When did this start? We've always gotten new towels to replace the used towels on the 4th day,we didn't have to buy anything.

Right. Your regular towels, that are in the room when you get there, are replaced on day 4. If you purchase a towel pack, they are supposedly taken and not replaced on Trash and Towel day.
