I found a site that had pictures I could download for mousekeeping-for the tip envelope and I can't find it...anyone know where it is?

I'm not sure I couldn't get through that one. I was on a site with lots of tips for disney and this particular one was about tipping the maids and having some cut pictures to put on the envelopes!

Thanks TONS!! I printed out a different picture for each day on an envelope and already tucked in the money....I'm always scrambling for a tip at the end of the stay. I read on the boards to set up envelopes before you go so you are all set. I figure if I'm happy they get whats in there and if I don't the kids get a few extra video games!

Okay, I just got my envelopes printed (they look great!) now I am going to fill them. What is the "usual and customary" amount?

I always start with $1 per person. We have 5 people so I put $5 ones in it. If I'm not happy the $1's start being removed, but I'm hardly ever unhappy. The mess my crew leaves behind...I generally leave a bit more as the mess grows!

Is it better to leave an envelope each day or do some people like to leave it all at the end? Where does everyone like to leave the envelope? If you didn't make up your own envelopes to use are there mousekeeping envelopes waiting for you in the room?

Following suggestions from other threads, we now tip on a daily basis, to ensure the individual doing that day's work gets the tip. Otherwise someone may luck out on the last day when they have been the one not doing the work during your whole stay. Anywhere between $2 to $5 per night, depending on how messy the room is.

Gotta add, I never tipped housekeeping before reading these boards. You learn something new all the time!
