What should I expect to tip? It's just me and DH at POP...Thanks!

hello Fellow Mainiac.....I am going to put you over here on resort board to get the proper answers.........have a great time in Disney

You will get many different opinions on this but... My family (2 adults, 2children) stayed at POP last year for 7 days and we left $5 per day. The "general" practice seems to be $1-$2 dollars per day per person. It is important if you are going to tip that you leave something each day because you most likely won't have the same person during your whole stay. Our mousekeeper left us a note on our fifth night that the following day would be her last during our stay. Have a great trip we LOVED POP!:goodvibes

DD13 and I leave $4 per day and stayed at POP in February and July of 2007. We're relatively neat, but that's a tough job and we've always had really good housekeeping at all of our WDW resort stays.

When leaving a tip, have you ever noticed an increase in the quality of the service?

Has anyone who has frequented the parks tried diffrent size tips, including no tips, just to see if there was an increase or decrease in the quality of the service performed? :confused3

I am a frequent tipper, as I know these positions do not pay well, I am just curious to know if there is an increase or decrease based off the size of the tip.

Tipping has been quite a dangerous conversation in the past ---- so I'll leave my comments to Emily Post. Here are guidelines from the website.

We have been lucky with absolutely fabulous Mousekeepers the last few trips -- so good I have spoken with the Hotel Managers and sent letters.

Have a fabulous trip!

Cathy

We have also had great mousekeepers over the years. I tip $4-5 each day for 3 adults. We appreciate the work they do-heck I do not like cleaning up after myself. We tidy after ourselves like keeping the floor clear, putting garbage in the trash can and pile the towels.

My sister and I travel to Dis about two times a year..we leave $3-4 a day.
Came home from our last trip from AKL with A LOT of extra H2O toiletry items :goodvibes, we have never had poor housekeeping service in any Dis hotels thus far.
