Mousekeeping Tips???

What would you typically tip your mousekeeper at a moderate Disney resort? I have printed up gratuity envelopes and plan to start putting cash into them each week until our March 2012 trip, and I am unsure what a fair amount would be...

Alot of people do $1 per person in the room. That's what I do. It's optional though so if you want to leave more or less that's fine too.

ITA - We do $1-$2 per person too.

We are a family of 3, sometimes 4 if DS brings a friend, and always tip $5/day.

Except when DH traveled with MIL and she got mad and took the money because "they already make money" (this was in Reno, when DH and his mom went for 2 nights). DH said it was easier than confronting her about it.

But yeah.... we tip $5/day. Regardless of whether it is Disneyland, Seattle, Great Wolf Lodge, or any hotel!

Okay, thanks everyone! We tipped $5 a night last time we were there, but it was our first trip and we were sort of "blindly" tipping. I wanted make sure it was a fair amount and that our wonderful mousekeeper wan't feeling shafted.

We usually do $1 per person as well. However, on our 2008 trip (3 of us at the time) we had an awesome Mousekeeper for 4 of the 5 days who did all the towel things for DD, even included her stuffed monkey in with some monkey towels one day, left stickers and such. We left her an extra tip on her last day with us just because of those little extras for DD. I think we tipped an extra $10 on that day. We were lucky on that trip as we were able to catch her coming out of our room and chatted with her to find out what her schedule with us was going to be.
