On the day you arrive , I know the room is already cleaned, do you tip the person who turns down the bed that night? If so how much? Is there a different person who cleans the room and turns down the beds? If so do you tip them both? I was going to tip 5.00 a day for the mousekeeper but I don't know what to give the person who turns down the beds, any help will be great.

I've never had anyone turn down our beds before (at moderate or deluxe). I think I read you can request this though. Maybe another DISer can help.

The only place we had nightly turndown service was onboard the Disney cruises. I think I heard that you can request it at the deluxes, but we never did. Hopefully someone else here will know this answer because now I am curious too!

We had turn down service at the YC Concierge Level this last trip. I want to say it's the same people who stock the concierge lounge who do this..... but I'm not sure. We tipped mousekeeping each day, but did not leave a special tip for the turn down.

We've had turndown service at GF (not concierge level). I've actually never thought about tipping for that!

Actually, when you leave the tip the next morning after your first night stay, it will be for whomever cleans your mess ( :) )that day....Presumeably whomever cleaned the room before you arrived had a TIP left by the previous occupant. (for some reason something so simple, was very difficult to write :teeth: ).
I just leave a tip every morning, in a envelope marked "MOUSEKEEPING", where it will be clearly seen. If you dont mark the envelope, they WONT take it! EXTREMELY HONEST PEOPLE work for DIS!

We leave a tip on the first day but not the last. Make sense? Not sure but that is what we do. A tip for each night we are there.

We were in a Jr. Suite at the CR last year and had turndown service (w/ mints) even though we didn't request it. We would leave an extra $2 before leaving the room for dinner. :earsgirl:

I tip Mousekeeping. I tip the daytime maid $5. a day for my family of 4. I start tipping on the day after the first night and tip daily.

If I'm at a deluxe resort and have turn down service, I leave an envelope for them with $2 in it on the bed or nightstand around mid-afternoon. Most of the time they got it, but not always, as sometimes we were out all day and just didn't get the tip out and ready for them in time cause we weren't around.

The turn down service mousekeeper could and sometimes is different from the person who cleans your room during the day.

This is what I do. YMMV.
