I don't see any reason other than saving corporate $ for Disney not to bring back daily Mousekeeping. We're paying a premium to be in the bubble, and part of the appeal (for me at least) has always been coming back from a long day at the parks to a room I don't have to straighten up! I just wanted to encourage people to contact WDW and ask them to bring back daily Mousekeeping. If we make some noise about it, maybe WDW will move faster to get services back to normal.

Most hotels don’t have daily housekeeping now. Universal doesn’t. Even a couple of hotels I have stayed at in my state don’t. Disney has more service than any other one I have been to post covid, as it is the only one they come in and empty trash and give new towels. None of the other hotels I have stayed at has any housekeeping coming into the rooms.

So my feelings on this have been on an entire spectrum. At first, I was shocked when I joined DVC that you don't get Mousekeeping daily and instead its every 4th day. I never opted out of it with regular Disney hotel reservations and figured having my bed made for me is part of being on vacation. Whatever. Then with COVID.. it was none at all except for trash & towels. I have to say... I kind of like it and have gotten used to it over the past few months.

I seemed to have the worst luck with the room being cleaned at the most inopportune moments... when you're just coming back from the pool or a break from the parks. This way, I don't feel like I have to dedicate time away from the room for someone else to be in it. If given the option going forward, I think I'll stick to just trash & towels every other day.

I believe they are bringing furloughed employees back and housekeeping is the number one priority for those jobs. Even people who has never done housekeeping before are taking the jobs if they want to come back to Disney after being furloughed. As some cast members have said on other pages, that is the only option a lot of them are getting. So it sounds like it is a big priority. Especially with them opening up the "closed" resorts and expanding capacity in the future. I doubt they will bring back MOUSEKEEPING to what it was pre-pandemic any time this year. Doesn't bother me. We keep our room clean and I am not a big fan of "strangers" in the room cleaning up after me. Never been.

We are currently staying DVC and mousekeeping changed our bedding and cleaned our room on the 4th day. As I was exiting the room, she was stripping (edit, not striping, didn’t have my glasses on) our sheets. I was pleasantly surprised, but thankful for the service by tipping in return.

Sorry, I'm one of the few people who request they don't clean my room. Clean towels about every 3 or 4 days, coffee and empty the trash can and I'm good. I don't like people in my room when I'm not there.

Due to mandatory security checks, CMs enter rooms everyday. And they don’t always peek in, but walk through the entire room.

We just go with the flow when it comes to housekeeping. I like coming back to made beds but it’s not a big deal to go without.

Overall, value might factor in though... We’ve been staying DVC lately and one of the ways those costs are kept down is with minimal mouse keeping. That’s a fair trade off for us because we feel DVC saves us a good amount. But- if we were paying over $350 a nite for a moderate studio, might feel more annoying to lack mousekeeping.

Oh yes this. I don't want anyone in my room during my stay. We drink heavy, then throw our clothes everywhere. They don't need to see my nasty clothes hanging from the wall lamps when we are perfectly capable of having them leave the towels on the door handle or at get them at the front desk.

I tend to stay at Swan/Dolphin most of the time so I'm not sure if they do the security checks there. I've never noticed when I've stayed at a WDW room that they have been in there so if they have, what I don't know won't hurt me. I just don't housekeeping in there messing with stuff. I always pick up after myself, hang my towels up, throw away used coffee pods, rinse out the cup if it's a real one instead of a disposable one so other than making the bed I really don't need them in there. I don't even need the bed made up because I barely move at night, sometimes all that is disturbed is the cover is pulled back a top where I get in and out.

I know some of you are not comfortable with towel animals yet, but this made me smile upon returning to our room tonight. We are here to celebrate my late mother’s birthday and Mother’s Day, and these are her hair clips.

(the clips were were sitting out on the counter, so didn't want you to think they were digging through my things).

If you don’t want your room serviced, just answer no during online Checkin. I answered yes not knowing what we would get. Mousekeepers are still masked and gloved.
