Mouse ear hats

i want to get my kids the mouse ear hats. Should I order them ahead of time online at the Disney store or get them at the park? Are they different at the park? Also, I've seen some with their names on them, where can I get their names put on them?

Get them at the park. Sometimes CMs in the earhat stores will refuse to embroider hats that weren't bought there. (Idea being, if they messed up the embroidering, they wouldn't be able to replace the hat for you.) Besides, getting the hats embroidered while you wait is one of those classic Disney experiences. Get the hats in the Chapeau in Town Square and your kids can listen in to crazy conversations on the antique party line phones on the wall.

Oh, and this whole "get my kids" ear hats, thing? Get yourself one, too.

I'd save if for the parks and make an experience out of it. It can be fun to try on all the different hats. Get some fun pics too while this happening. Let them pick out the hat they most like. We often incorporate a trip to the hat shop for this activity. It's part of the Disney experience that you wouldn't get ordering on online.

Haven't been in a while. Is MK the only park to offer embroidery? I'm looking to get my oldest graduation ears end of March when we're there.
