mountainboards? what are they?

DS13 has asked for one of these. I have looked at them online at Dicks. Is it for hilly terrain? No hills around here. I dont want to have to travel to use the darn thing.

Yes...they require hills or mountains for the gravity factor. Just imagine kind of an offroad skateboard or snowboard with wheels. I have a friend back home in Cali that is HUGE into mountainboarding. They have mountains though...makes it a bit easier.

They are Ok to use on flat offroad type areas but require a lot of pushing.
