wheelchair is the better way to get around the parks but mostly for getting on the rides. I have a motorized chair now because of the independence it gives me but I am able to transfer with very little assistance. Will be visiting the park with family and would just need to know which one is Universal friendly. :cool1:

Definately take your motorized wheelchair. You should not care whether one is universal friendly you need to do what is best for you. Either chair will work fine. We just find that if you have a manual chair, it can be much more difficult for the person having to push you. It is not all flat ground.

People have posted that many of the Universal attractions that are wheelchair accessible are not power wheelchair accessible.
Uinversal has a nice Rider's Guide that talks about their attractions.

The Universal Guide does say this:
"We apologize, but none of the ride vehicles or attraction
queues at Universal Orlando will accommodate Electric
Convenience Vehicles (ECV’s) or electric wheelchairs. At
those rides which can accommodate manual wheelchairs,
guests may transfer from their ECVor electric wheelchair
into a manual wheelchair that is provided at each location.

So, if you do use a power wheelchair, you will need to transfer into a manual wheelchair for the wait in line and the ride (at least according to what their book says).
