Motivation?

I have tried to start journals in the past and have failed terribly. But here I am......trying again.

I decided to get a new screen name and start completely over. I have been telling myself that as long as I didn't get over 200 pounds I was okay. Today I weighed 200.2. I want to weigh 175. That is 25 lbs. I can do 25 pounds. Several years ago I lost from 275 down to 192. Then down to 156.....up to 165....up to 175.....up to 185.....got married May of last year.....now up to 200. Over the last 3-4 months my exercising has decreased dramatically and my eating has went to :furious: in a handbasket. I exercised yesterday using the 4 mile lesli sansome dvd for the first time since the middle of January.


Today so far I have eaten terribly :
serving of corn grits with sugar (4 pts)
1/4 c all whites with half slice american cheese (1pt)
peanut butter and jelly sandwich (7 pts)
3 very small chocolate chip toffee almond cookies (6pts)
cinnamon toast crunch (no milk) (3 pts)

I know I haven't tried very hard today. I am a stress eater and I have been stressed today. I have had ulcerative colitis since I was 12 years old. My ulcers decided to flare up today. My ulcers are triggered by poor diet and stress. I haven't had a flareup in years until today. I have a dr's appt today with my GI doc and I am concerned that they are going to try to put me on steroids(which have made me gain massive amounts of weight in the past). The nurse also told me on the phone that she wants me to get a colonoscopy:scared1:. I think that is unwise since my ulcers are actively bleeding (but whatever.....she's a nurse and I am not:confused3). Also, the bummer is that when you are having a flareup you are not supposed to eat a lot of fiberous foods (like veggies, fruits, whole grain breads, nuts.....all part of a healthy diet that would help you to lose weight). If you have any healthy food suggestions let me know.

My job is stressing me out. I work at the mental health center as a secretary and since they are shorthanded, I am currently doing the jobs of three different people. :surfweb: Unfortunately, I sit on my duff most of the day which contributes greatly to my inactivity.

I am not sure of my specific goals yet.....I just know that 200 is too heavy for me and have been on an upward trend for the last couple of years. It needs to stop before I am back where I started. I want to lose 25 pounds.

My first mini goal will be to lose 5 pounds in 1 month.:yay:
 
Good news! The Dr didn't say that I needed the colonoscopy. He changed my meds so hopefully that will help. Also, I went back to the dr. today to get my blood drawn (they tried twice yesterday with no success:sad2: so I had to get stuck again). The lady that did me today got it on the first try:worship:......She had told me to drink gatorade before and I think it worked. I stayed home from work again today because my stomach was still hurting me. Today so far I have eaten:

5 pts-1 Bagel-Thin Bagel with 2 TBSP Peanut Butter
1 pt-Banana (small)
2 pts-1c sprite
1 pt-1c strawberries
4.5 pts-1 prepackaged salad with chicken, feta, walnuts, dried cranberries, and rassberry vinaigrette (suprisingly good:woohoo:......but we will see how the ulcers take it:rolleyes1)
1 pt- a pineapple spear
3 pts-3/4 c Reeses Puffs
1 pt-Banana
1.5 pts- 2 pcs white wheat bread with spray butter, cinnamon and 1/2 tbsp sugar

The total so far is 20. I get 24 pts a day. Tonight my husband and I are having Zatarains red beans and rice. It is three pts per one cup serving so I should be okay as long as I keep track of my portions. I might add a veggie in there, too to take care of that last pt.

No exercise today:sad2:. My tummy has been hurting off and one most of the day. It is a sharp stabbing pain. I don't want to jostle myself around too much.:sick:
 
I kind of lost control for a little while last night. After I ended up posting, i ate 2 cookies.......they were so good......chocolate chip toffee almond cookies (4 pts) , a serving of red beans and rice (3pts) , and 3 jiffy corn muffins (12pts). I just wasn't thinking about my choices.:confused3

Today so far I have eaten:

3 pts- 24 maple brown sugar mini shredded wheats
2 pts- 1 large banana
2 pts- 8oz Orange Juice
1.5 pt?- fatfree handisnacks pudding
1pt- 1 c strawberries
1.5pts- mixed fruit cup

Total = 11 pts

That puts me up to 4 servings of fruit for today:yay:. I have had about 4 cups of water so far today. No veggies yet.....I need veggies. I have some squash i could cook for dinner.

I am planning to eat a 4 pt Smartones quesadilla sometime in the next couple of hours so that will bring me up to 15 pts.

My tummy is still a little off so I don't know if I will get to exercise tonight. But I know I need to clean :laundy: so that will burn a few calories.
 
Yesterday afternoon I had a large cheesecake flavor tcby. I also had a 6 inch oven roasted chicken breast with light mayo. Not sure on the pts for both of those......but I don't think I did too bad.

Today so far I have eaten:

a bagelthin bagel- 1pt
2 tbsp whipped cream cheese- 1.5 pts
1c strawberries- 1 pt
8oz oj-2 pts


For lunch my husband and I are eating at chick-fil-a. We have those free monthly coupons and this month is a free small milkshake. I just looked at all the stats and they are all 13 pts per small shake at least:eek:. The peach one has the most with 15 pts. That was what I was originally going to go for but I think I might get the cookies and cream one since they are all about the same.

I will try to make supper light......Might do tilapia.....I have some in the freezer.

I have to take my doggies to the vet today. They are both honking and snorting so I think they have a cold.:sick:
 

I decided to hold off on the chick fil a coupon and I got a frozen yogurt at marble slab with some of my extra money. For dinner, I ate parmesan crusted tilapia, squash and corn. I also had some cinnamon toast made with whitewheat bread.

Sorry no details.....I am so tired I am about to fall asleep.
