Mother of the Year here!

I have to say, I have an 11 y.o. daughter as well and I can say with confidence she wouldn't even know what "porn" is.

To each their own, people can raise their children as they see fit, but for me I'd never allow my 11 y.o. to see an R rated movie, particularly one that's coded as having graphic violence and strong sexual content. I mean, aside from the obvious, most girls of this age are just beginning to figure out where they belong and what their worth is in this world. The last thing they need to see is the type of degradation that usually goes hand in hand in these sort of movies. But, that's just me. :confused3

I can see both sides of this. I remember watching gory movies when I was younger (and I snuck in my share of naughty movies) and don't feel that I'm scarred for it.

However, 11 years old is so very young. IMO, they should still be playing with toys, video games and playing with friends. Life is sweet for only so long before you are innudated with violence, sex and pressure to do drugs. Why mature them faster than you have to?

vettechick99 ~ I have to agree. I am trying to keep my kids' naivete intact as long as possible. My oldest is 13 and he is allowed to see most PG-13 movies but not R-rated for now. I saw the commercial for this movie and I was scared and I'm 33! :scared:
