Hi! I am planning a mother/daughters trip for me, sister, and our mom (age 71). We are staying AKL Club Level savannah view - so excited!

Our trip is next week, Thurs-Sun. Thursday we will just be at hotel. What should we do? The sky is the limit! I want luxury LOL, first trip without all our darling kiddos.

I tried to get V+A but obviously it is sold out. :(

Was thinking California Grill.

Thinking of strolling around Epcot on a non-travel day.

What else would be a fun indulgence??

Spa treatments at GF? My mom and I did some tours for the first time when we went last fall—hope to do some more tours this coming fall!

If you’re already at AKL, I’d consider Jiko.

Have you looked into fireworks cruises? I’m not sure how far in advance those book out.

Keys to the Kingdom tour would be another thing I’d love to do when my kid gets old enough.

I second the VIP Tour and Minnie Vans .
I would try to book dining in the Castle .
CakeBake for afternoon Tea would be nice .

Call V&A (the direct number is listed on the MDE app) and leave a message ASAP, requesting to be on standby if there are cancellations.

I personally am not a huge fan of CG because it gets so loud in there, and I have witnessed more totally unsupervised kids going whacko there than any other signature, I think my percentage is like 75 - but otherwise, a great restaurant. (I love kids, but we’re talking full steam running around tables.) Have you considered Monsieur Paul if you have park tickets? I also like the Jiko suggestion!

No real ideas, but have a wonderful trip with your sister and mother! Oh, actually I do have one suggestion. It may be kind of late since your trip is next week, but since it is a special one, did you look into the "Capture Your Moment" photo pass session? It's $99 for a 20 minute one on one photography session at one of the parks (you would need to either buy Memory Maker separately or just buy individual photos). It might be a great way to remember the trip! They will take pictures of all of you in one of the parks (you choose the park, may be what ever is available at this point), they know where to go for great shots and have suggestions for poses. Not necessarily luxury, but a nice way to commemorate the trip. Honestly, when I think luxury, I don't think Disney. If you are willing to take a trip to the Four Seasons, their spa is a luxury experience!

I would second the photo session - did one at Aulani and I treasure the photos. The photopass photographers were fantastic and gave us all types of suggestions and took wonderful pictures. Just tell them what location you would like the pictures taken and they will take care of the rest.

Thank you!! I just called and got on waitlist. Monsieur Paul is reserved as a backup to but I am hesitant due to online reviews??!
It isn’t as good as VnA, and the service is definitely noticeably different, but I went last summer and enjoyed it. I think that recent youtube was unnecessarily harsh, tbh.

Look up the group Ear For Each Other on Facebook. You can have gift baskets sent to the room, order charcuterie to enjoy by the pool have your resort door decorated. This group was set up after Covid CM layoffs and these are their business to make your trip extra magical!

If you’re into rides Premier Pass at MK could make for a pretty amazing day. Put down the phone and literally do anything you want as you leisurely make your way through MK.

No matter what you pick do report back! Sounds like this trip is gonna be a ball!!

I absolutely LOVE staying AKL savannnah view. The lounge, Victoria Falls, is also one of my favorite hotel lounges (now that Mizner's is. gone). I also recommend Jiko. I love MP and CG, but Jiko atmosphere can be a little calmer which is nice (in my experience).

The Four Seasons spa is VERy luxurious!

Savor the Savannah tour in AK is also a really great way to add something special to a trip.

Have a wonderful trip!

is it better than GF? (I just love the GF so much... never used the spa tho)
oh ABSOLUTELY......and then you could wander the grounds and go to Capa for dinner and watch BOTH Epcot and MK fireworks :) Even if you don't do the full restaurant, you can pop into the lounge and get the same menu without a reservation....
