Just returned from a great trip with my 19 year old daughter. We were on the 7th floor 7718 MK view and the view was great. I see what you mean about the sink in the studio, it is kinda weird, and the bathroom door just doesn't feel that private because it is a slider. But I am not complaining, I loved every minute of the trip. It wea quite cold, and the TOp of the World lounge was pretty full when we went up. I really liked the tenderloin flatbread. Traveling with my dd was great, our first grown up trip. We had facials, went on every ride, and shopped in every little store, things my dh would not be interested in. BLT was fun, but I still like SS and OKW best. Nancy

Sounds like the perfect mother/daughter trip to me. Staying at BLT this year -we hope-purely for the location and "newness." I have a question since you were just there. TOTW lounge, do you need to make reservations to get up there?
Thanks

No, not at this time. You simply have to be a DVC member (or their guest) staying on points or cash booked by MS at BLT. Just check in at the desk in the lobby, showing the KTTW card indicating DVC, and they will send you up!

We enjoyed it when we were there in August. I am glad to hear that things are busier. I wondered whether business would increase in the winter once the park hours were less and more people were at the resort at night.

I asked the waitress whether it had been busy and she said that it had not been, she thought it was just busy now because the weather was so cool. She said most people just come up for the fireworks and then leave. There is a private elevator to the top floor and the person at the desks checks your DVC card and then asks how many guests you have with you.

Nancy, the trips I have with my DD(28) are priceless. We have another one scheduled for the first week of Nov. 2010 at VWL. The next time you go, be sure to have High Tea at the Garden View Cafe at the GF. It's wonderful and the perfect "mother-daughter" activity. :goodvibes
